According to Meant to be seen 3D:
I have received confirmation from Blitz Games Studios that Sony “fully intends” to support stereoscopic 3D gaming and Blu-ray 3D on the Sony Playstation 3 (PS3) in 2009. Blitz will of course be helping back this technology with their Blitz Tech engine.
The best part is console support will only need a bios upgrade to work, and we are told that the ability to add this capability via bios may be unique to Sony PS3 versus the other console solutions.
So how do you guys feel about gaming in 3D? And do you think it will be for one of the big exclusive; God of War III, or a small DLC title?

Lol nawl just playing. But IDK about gaming 3D on the ps3. I mean well if it doesn’t turn out to be a lame feature ass like you’d see on the wii (which I doubt it would) then I think it’d be awesome and I would be down to try it out. Especially In a game like God of war 3. I can see that shit fully.

It will happen, but 2009 sounds too fast. Games usually have a 2 year or more development cycle, I don’t see it happing in 2009 maybe 2010.

if it works good then im all for it, but plz dont force it on us and dont let third parties make their own glasses. just like microsofts headset, so that only sonys glasses can be used.

@ Davis i doubt theres going to be a way like you mean unless the only way i can think of is a switch on, switch off thing like the rumble on and off….. which i think there might be a bundle with a 3D game and four 3D glasses so your family can play or watch with you. Image a 3D Star Wars lightsaber game =]

im saying maybe there could be a way where you can turn the 3D effect on and off so you have a choice in which way you wana play the game or the developers can release 2 versions, 1 in 3D and the other non 3D

God Of War 3 won’t be in 3D! What if the glasses doesn’t work, then the whole game would be ruined..
if they will be making 3D games they better release a game with less hype and se what kind of reactions they get.
And if a game would be 3D – will it still be in high definition??
