Killzone 3 Completely Streamed, Less Loading Screens
Herman Hulst, the managing director at Sony’s first party studio, Guerilla Games, has confirmed that Killzone 3 has come a long way technologically and an example of that is the omission of loading screens.
“We’re excited what the PS3 can do for us and what we can do for it… (speaking of loading screens), literally everything is streamed now”.

Full Information Release After the Break
Killzone 3: 4-Player Co-Op Confirmed
Confirmed by this week’s FirstPlay — (Qore Equivalent for the European PSN) — is features a Killzone 3 preview, much like the most recent July Episode of Qore. Although, the preview doesn’t reveal any new footage of the game it does confirm something many fans of the franchise have been waiting for: Co-Op support!
The inclusion of a co-op mode has been rumored before, but the preview now says us that despite lack of multiplayer information release “we do know that Guerrilla is working on a special objective-based 4-man co-op mode to go with the standard 2-player stuff.”
That sounds like confirmation to us! If you have no idea what objective based 4 man co-op is, check out Battlefield: Bad Company 2’s Onslaught mode, which should at least give you an idea.
Well, well, well, isnt Killzone 3 shaping up to be something pretty big! What do you guys think?
Sony announces their ps3 Eurogamer line-up
Eurogamer is the biggest gaming expo in the UK to date and re opens October 1st to 3rd at Earls Court, London. And the first games for the event have been announced, tickets are on sale here.
You will be able to get your hands-on with Gran Turismo 5 (Release date: November), inFamous 2 (Release date: 2011), Killzone 3 (Release date: February 2011), LittleBigPlanet 2 (Release date: Late 2010), MotorStorm: Apocalypse (Release date: Early 2011), SOCOM 4: Special Forces, (Release date: Late 2010) Sony has also announced that Gran Turismo 5, Killzone 3 and MotorStorm Apocalypse are all playable in 3D at the expo. That’s not it from Sony they will also be bringing the Playstation Move and some hit games for it. Info from Microsoft, Nintendo, ubisoft, ea and more have not been announced just yet but i expect there line up to be announced in the next month or two and i will continue to update you with information on that. Also remember DLB-Network will be attending on October 2nd so you will get lots of hands-on reviews, photos and videos to enjoy.
Killzone 3: New Controls – “Heavy Sensation Gone”
Okay, here is some good news to most of your out there, who thought that Killzone 2′s controls were just to “Heavy.” It seems that the feedback from many people have made Guerrilla Games conform and change the control scheme in Killzone 3. Apparently Killzone 3′s new control scheme pretty much wipes out the existence of the one found on KZ2. It looks like maybe it will feel much like other snappy FPS’s in the market.
Killzone 3: Introducing Cinematic Deaths
Killzone 3 is set to introduce cinematic deaths which will add a dramatic spectacular punch, allowing players new ways to take care of the Helghast. Victor Zuylen, Community Editor at Guerrilla, wrote on the official Killzone website,
For instance, a Helghast drop ships struck by a barrage of W.A.S.P. projectiles doesn’t have to simply drop out of the sky; the force of impact can tear off the ship’s stabilizers, causing it to bank and spiral wildly out of control before slamming into the ground with a massive explosion. Of course, this also makes it more difficult to predict where the drop ship will come down, as Sev finds out:
Another cool example is the jetpack trooper: if the player keeps firing on the jetpack’s fuel tank it will eventually rupture and ignite, propelling the screaming trooper skyward in a ball of flame. As the fuel burns up, the trooper’s charred remains fall back to the ground – and, if the player’s lucky, onto the heads of other Helghast soldiers or nearby oil drums.
Killzone 3 To Show You More of the Helghasts Human Side
Herman Hulst of Guerrilla Games has recently described that the Helghasts have a human side of them but view themselves as the superior being and this will focused on being told through the story of Killzone. “Although the Helghast are physically still human, they consider themselves superior to the human race in terms of society and culture.”
“They possess a mentality that’s similar to how the Nazis viewed those not part of the Aryan bloodline. Helghast look down on humans as weak, lying, and spineless. In Killzone 3, we show that even the Helghast have some humanity left in them. We’re weaving a story that has more shades of grey than the trite representation of ‘good vs. evil’… We explore the notion that even honourable soldiers have to make debatable decisions at times for the greater good — or simply for their own survival.” explained Hulst.
