GC 10 – Killzone 3 Gamescom Multiplayer Trailer

Here is the Killzone 3 Multiplayer Trailer from Gamescom. This is the first footage of Killzone 3′s multiplayer, and wow does it look great! It looks like they revamped a lot and improved it a big amount. The multiplayer mode adds a lot of new features to its predecessor, creating a fresh multiplayer experience that is more open to everyone. It offers 2 new game modes, a new matchmaking system, vehicles, Brutal Melee attacks and more ranks, abilities and rewards than ever.

Please share your thoughts on this. Will this be the next big multiplayer game? I hope so. Killzone 2 had a great concept, i hope killzone 3 fulfills it.

Killzone 3 Beta Website Up But Not Running Yet

Killzone 3 Beta Website Up But Not Running Yet

A Killzone 3 Beta Site has been found on the web and at the moment, it’s pretty simple, the site URL says beta.killzone.com, and the webpage has a large logo that says Killzone 3 with text under that stating “You need to sign in and have the right permission to view the rest of the site.” and then it has the standard PSN log-in block, but logging-in with your PSN just redirects you back to that page.

Logging in doesn’t seem to do much now but this page only means one thing, a Killzone 3 beta will be announced officially very soon and you will be that much closer to having a taste of the highly anticipated game, and obviously when the beta launches this site will finally be up and running so keep checking back.

Motion Controllers: For Future Generations, or Just a Fad?

The Video Game industry has come a long way, especially in recent years with this generation of consoles. Each major company pushing the competition forward, bringing video games to where we stand today. A major question has been coming up, not only with fans, but also with publishers, who seem to be either for or against it, is the introduction of motion controllers. Is this the future of video games? Or will this die out in future years to come, being left in the dust?

SOCOM 4 Release Pushed Back to 2011

SOCOM 4 Release Pushed Back to 2011

SOCOM 4 has gained much attention over time since it was announced a few months back, the game will be made by Zipper interactive, unlike SOCOM: Confrontation, which was plagued with serious connection and network problems when released, So even though this game is being delayed, this is mainly why. Zipper Interactive is delaying the game to avoid that very reason it seems.

Senior community manager Jeremy Dunham had to say, “While we’re certainly aware that you’ve been looking forward to playing SOCOM 4 this year, we don’t want to take any shortcuts. Instead, we want to deliver the best and most immersive SOCOM game we possibly can and we’re going to use our extra time to do just that.” So the game will be released now in 2011, no specific time range in 2011, just sometime next year. Although it will probably be in a time range that wont conflict with a Call of Duty game or Killzone 3 next year.

Kevin Butler Responds to TV3′s Commercial Clone

Kevin Butler Responds to TV3′s Commercial Clone

In a recent post below a New Zealand TV company “TV3″ recently ripped off a Sony Kevin Butler commercial.

The big guy himself, Kevin Butler, has responded, and of course in the usual comical KB fashion. Here were some of the sharp points:

1. No title for your guy? VP of Big Bigness? PS3 Commercial Tribute Manager? Details, folks.

2. The TV3 version was completely lacking in PS3 video game footage. Clips from Uncharted 2, MAG, God of War 3, or even clips of our upcoming releases Killzone3 and Twisted Metal would have really added some epicness to the spot.

3. The beard. I think it should have been longer.

4. I did like the slow motion effect at the end on the guitar solo. Way to plus it out.

5. Two-color mylar confetti > rainbow paper confetti. Just sayin.

At the end of  his message is a thinly-veiled “we wont sue you this time”, which for the the giant company Sony is, may be a surprise for some.
