Rumor – NGP to Hit Europe This Year?

Rumor – NGP to Hit Europe This Year?

A website in the United Kingdom called MCV is claiming that the NGP (a.k.a. the PSP2) will be releasing in Europe before the end of this year because. If you remember. Sony stated that they would try to release the NGP in at least one region before the year is up and then release it in remaining regions early next year. People think that the most obvious chose for that first region is Japan but this website says otherwise.

They say that information from “online leaks” claim that the portable could hit Europe in the Fall, and they were also oddly specific on a release date of November 11th of this year. ”Development deadlines have been set to ensure key Western releases are finished before the end of the summer for deployment in the autumn,” claims the website. Obviously you shouldn’t take much of this too seriously until confirmed as with any rumor but keep your eyes peeled for more information.

Welcome MAXVTEC to the Crew!

6 March, 2011 Site 7 comments

As most of you have noticed, the news has be coming a little slow lately and we hope this will be one big fix for the issue, please welcome a new author to the site MAXVTEC, his bio below.

It has been over two decades since I played a video game for the first time, I started the same way as thousands of other gamers playing Super Mario on the NES (Nintendo Entertainment System). Oh what a glorious day that was until I found out my controller was not plugged in. The first game console I could really call my own was a Super Nintendo, by 1996 I moved on to the revolutionary Playstation One clocking in thousands of gameplay hours and pay thousands of dollars in electric bills. Then the Playstation 2 came out and I partied like it was that Y2K thing all over again.

I’m currently on my third Xbox 360, first two died from a horrible depressing decease called RROD. On November 10, 2006 I experienced what it was like to be a homeless sleeping outside an electronic store waiting for it to open next morning to purchase my Playstation 3. It got worse, when they finally opened the store me and about 50 other frozen souls were slapped across the face with “we don’t have any PS3′s,” and then a sour after taste, “we do have Nintendo Wii’s in stock”. After all the pain and suffering I finally got my Playstation 3 months later during the second shipment. In my opinion, the Playstation 3 is one of the most beautiful consoles ever made. Shiny and expensive like a diamond, its eye candy with sexy curves like a super model.

When it comes to games, I don’t even know where to start. I have played them all well, at least the good ones. Metal Gear, Resident Evil, Ico, you name it i have probably played it. I’m currently enjoying Killzone 3, when it comes to trophies I’m still in level 13. I owned a Wii but sold it because the graphics were horrible, I was playing COD W@W online once and I could not tell if it was a bush or someone shooting at me, it turned out to be a dog. Like most gamers I like to stay current with technology I also own a few iOS devices, PSP GO, and I owned a DS at some point in my life. Last but not least, I defected from Windows to the Mac operating system about a year ago and I’m glad I jumped out of that window.

Release Date Finalized For Gears of War 3

Release Date Finalized For Gears of War 3

Gears of War 3 was originally supposed to release in April of this year but sadly got delayed to the end of the year a little while ago by Microsoft with no clear time of release until now. Microsoft has finally confirmed an official release date for the highly anticipated Gears of War 3. The game will be hitting the shelves on September 20th of this year before the flood of multi-platform games and PS3 exclusives arrive.

Microsoft has yet to announce a whole lot of exclusive games for release in that time period, but don’t worry, once E3 comes around Microsoft will probably announce some surprises. Either way both systems will have a decent amount of multi-platforms to play around that time and Gears of War 3 will probably be one of the first games you will buy in the second half of the year.

SOCOM 4 bundled with Move in $150 ‘Full Deployment Edition’

SOCOM 4 bundled with Move in $150 ‘Full Deployment Edition’

If you’re thinking about picking up a PlayStation Move controller with which to bust caps in the bottoms of your foes in SOCOM 4, Sony and Zipper Interactive have announced a pretty tight little bundle to fit your needs. It’s the SOCOM 4 Full Deployment Edition, a $149.99 package which includes the game, a Move controller and Navigation controller, the “Sharp Shooter” gun attachment and a PlayStation Eye camera. Click here to see the larger image.

The bundle will arrive on store shelves on the same day as the standalone game, April 19.That’s a pretty sweet deal — all those components sold piecemeal would run you over $200. More importantly, think about all the time you’ll save if you purchase them altogether! Seriously, searching for these items and clicking “Add to Cart” five times would take you, like, three whole minutes. Three minutes! In this fast-paced, interconnected world, that’s like, seven minutes.

The iControlPad clamps a controller to your phone

The iControlPad clamps a controller to your phone

The iControlPad — a peripheral we first learned about in 2008 — is still alive, kicking, and ready to be ordered for $74.99 before its initial February 16 ship date. The device attaches a simple Bluetooth game pad to your smartphone of choice using various clamps, which currently support iPhones, Blackberry Touch, HTC Dream, T-Mobile G1 and a handful of other devices. It’s designed to make emulators on jailbroken phones much easier to play — though the official site for the iControlPad admits, “software for your phone may be thin on the ground at first, and we encourage you to ask your favorite developers to support it.” Also, being forced to de-clamp your phone to receive a call is going to be the nerdiest thing you’ve ever done in public. Buyer beware!
