The Associated Press has reported the release date for the game being created by Bungie due to release later this year, Halo Reach. According to the Associated Press, the official release date of Halo Reach is going to be September 14th worldwide, except for Japan which will release one day later on September 15th. Also there are some quick stats of the recent Halo Reach Beta that was done over Xbox Live.
It is reported that over 2.7 million people played the beta in the 18 day time period, those 2.7 million players played for more than 16 million hours, there were also 1.1 billion kills performed during that period of 18 days. Dang, that’s a ton of kills!
Hey guys, i just found this screenshot around the internet, and it is apparently a Killzone 3 screenshot. This most definably a rumor. This could be a dedicated fan mock-for all we know, however, i’ll point out the noticeable things within the picture. The biggest thing to notice is the snowy environment which has never been seen in a Killzone title before. Also you can see the incredible high resolution textures on the coats (including the fur) of the helgasts. No other information has been released, but with E3 less than a month away, Killzone 3 has a realistic chance of making an appearance. What do you guys think?
Apparently the upcoming latest issue of GamePro Magazine is featuring Killzone 3! People have scanned and leaked Pictures and information all over forums and the internet! Pictures and details will be below! and after the break!
More Images AND INFO : After the break!
It’s a few weeks before E3 and you know what that means, Sony’s secret unveils for their conference is getting laughably tossed around the internet. Another rumor is going around that the PSP2 may finally be releasing, not a smaller, thinner, UMD-less version of the original PSP, but a true second version of the PSP. MCV is claiming that various publishers are spilling the beans and hinting about a PSP 2.
We thought that we would see a PSP 2 last year but it was only the PSP go which hasn’t experienced the most amazing sales since release either. Plus it’s probably about time that a new PSP gets release, since Sony is lacking support for their PSP, big-time, even though they did an okay job last year. Also the sales are slumping, the PSP sold 14.1 million PSP’s in 2008 while only selling 9.9 million in 2009. Not to mention it’s around six years since the PSP first release, usually the amount of time of new console releases. We will see at E3 but usually when the word’s out for Sony, it’s usually in some way true, especially the rumors before E3.
Hey Everybody, The NPD numbers are in and I have some good news and some bad news for you guys… well actually, pretty much all bad news. The first thing is that console sales and game sales didn’t do as powerful as they usually do, and the worst news is that the PlayStation 2 will not be counted anymore in NPD console sales, you will be missed PS2…. Anyway the numbers are below!
Nintendo DS 441,000 SOLD ↓ 260K (-37%)
Nintendo Wii 277,000 SOLD ↓ 281K (-50%)
Xbox 360 185,000 SOLD ↓ 153K (-45%)
PlayStation 3 181,000 SOLD ↓ 133K (-42%)
PSP 66,000 SOLD ↓ 54K (-44%)
Games sales are after the break.
Hey guys, here is a developer diary for those of you intrested in the PlayStation Move like i am. I will continue to post these when available.
So this video, features EyePet. If you remember this game was released in Europe last year, however, it looks like Sony delayed its U.S. launch for good reason: To release it as a PlayStation Move title!
The PlayStation Move controller can be used in many ways throughout the game. You can engage in a variety of pet care activities like feeding, washing and styling your pet, as well as playing various games using toys such as a bubble wand, fish net or trampoline. You can also use the PlayStation Move controller to draw items on the screen that your pet can interact with, such as planes or cars.
Now if Sony can promote this right, (to the casual children, and families audience, like nintendo does, i can see this being a very successful game.) Its games like these that nintendo seems to thrive on with its nintendo DS and other casual platforms. Of course it all comes down to Sony actually having commercials!
What do you guys think?
In these tough economic times where it’s becoming harder to pay for what people want, we understand that used games might be the way for some people to enjoy gaming. Apparently, Electronic Arts doesn’t understand – they plan to charge you $10 if you want online capabilities to be unlocked on your used game.
Yes, you heard right. The way it works is that your EA Sports game is shipped with a redeemable code. That code contains the unlock for online play and a few bonus things they threw in there. It’s not like entering long codes isn’t annoying enough, but for online play? Come on EA! If you’re one of the people that bought the used game you’re given a 7 day grace period to try out the game online with the bonus content but then you’ll have to pony up for it.
It has been confirmed today that the upcoming game Call of Duty: Black Ops by Treyarch will be featuring four-player co-op. If you remember, Modern Warfare 2 promised co-op but pulled it out of the game before release because it supposedly ruined the single-player experience. One character you are confirmed to play as is a Black Ops agent during a recent showing on a mission with a lot of stealth.
At least some of this story will take place during 1968 which is around an intense time of the Cold War. Treyarch studio head Mark Lamia said, ”The team is really excited about creating a game in this period… We really felt like it was fertile ground for us and we could provide something fresh for gamers.” Call of Duty: Black Ops is due to release later this year on the Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3.
UPDATE – The release date for PC, PS3, Xbox 360, and Wii will be November 9th of this year for Call of Duty: Black Ops.
The Battlefield: Bad Company 2 update that DICE released last month has been confirmed to hit the game’s PS3 and Xbox 360 versions next week.On May 11th, the changes detailed in this post will go live on PS3 and Xbox 360 along with the following additional tweaks based on feedback from the PC update
It looks like a forum member of NeoGAF got their hands on the next issue of Game Informer a little bit early and he posted his findings for information on LittleBigPlanet 2 that was supposedly in the magazine. The forum member posted a good amount of details, which can be seen after the break but some of the most important information is that LittleBigPlanet 2 will be much more than the simple platformer level creater that LittleBigPlanet is now.
LittleBigPlanet 2 will let you create racing, strategy, puzzle, role-playing games, shooters and the list goes on, you will also be able to add your own HUD to your levels too. There is also options to assigning your own buttons to certain tools in your levels like vehicles. You will be able to make much smarter, more detailed enemy AI. The game will also let people create their own short films with tools and everything!
The story will also focus on different periods of time and don’t worry, you will be able to transfer all of your levels, DLC, costumes etc… to LittleBigPlanet 2 so it will be quick and easy. The full list from the NeoGAF Forums is found after the break.
With the highly anticipated Electronic Entertainment Expo 2010 (or E3 as we call) just around the corner, why don’t we do a little rundown of the list of games that has been “confirmed and announced” so far by the publishers and developers.
