inFAMOUS 2: Behemoth, UGC Detailed in Sucker Punch Videos

All of this brand new content and information for infamous 2 was released yesterday at sucker punches media day. First, a battle with the monster we call The Behemoth. If you remember way way back to our E3 demos last year, we hinted at the existence of this monster…Well, here’s your chance to see him! As far as inFAMOUS 2 goes, he’s one of the most important enemies we’ve built. We showed an early version of him at our very first greenlight meetings back in December 2009. Seems like a long time ago!

Playstation’s E3 Preview Week

Playstation’s E3 Preview Week

2011 seems to be PlayStation’s year, with huge releases like LittleBigPlanet 2 and Killzone 3 already released and with another huge hit coming in a couple of weeks, of course that is SOCOM 4. So that becomes 3 of Sony’s top games being released in the first 4 months of the year. And yet they still have Infamous 2, Resistance 3, Uncharted 3, Ratchet And Clank: All 4 One and Twisted Metal all to be released. Sony simply does not have enough time to fit everything in a 2 hour conference at E3 so they have decided to run a E3 preview week all this week.

This week will be featuring early looks at some of this year’s most-anticipated PlayStation 3 titles: inFAMOUS 2, Ratchet & Clank: All 4 One, Resistance 3, Twisted Metal, and UNCHARTED 3: Drake’s Deception. Also we have decided to edit our live events page so if you are away and missed a lot of the news from this week just go check out the live events page, link is at the top of the page or just click here.

PSN down for “sporadic maintenance” as hacker group threatens Sony

PSN down for “sporadic maintenance” as hacker group threatens Sony

The infamous hacking group called Anonymous has rage war against Sony, threatening the firm that they would attack its web domains in response for their legal action against George Hotz and others PS3 hackers.

And by the look of things, it seems like they are for real as Sony’s websites have been either inaccessible or loading improperly today. To make the situation worse, the Playstation Network suddenly went down with Sony citing a “sporadic maintenance.”
“PSN currently undergoing sporadic maintenance,” Sony announced on its Twitter post. “Access to the PSN may be interrupted throughout the day. We apologize for any inconvenience.”

Splinter Cell PS3 HD Trilogy Release Pushed Back

Sony began the HD remakes of games at the God of War games and If you remember, that almost didn’t get made due to untold-of limitations but now Sony is cranking out a lot of classics on Blu-Ray with trophies, high-res textures, and much more in every bundle. For example, they released an HD remake bundle of the Sly series and most recently (this week), the Tomb Raider trilogy.

There was one HD trilogy remake that was also supposed to hit store shelves this week and that mysteriously never happened, and that is because it got pushed to June 21st, 2011 in a recent hasty announcement of the games delay. The trilogy contains HD remakes of the three games Splinter Cell, Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow and Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory on a single Blu-Ray disc and now fans that were anticipating it will have to wait a little while longer. It’s alright, because games like Crysis 2, Portal 2, and inFamous 2 will probably hold you over until then!

inFamous 2 Beta Sign-Up Now Available

inFamous 2 Beta Sign-Up Now Available

Several days ago we announced that Sucker Punch was adding a play, create, share aspect to their game for creating entire levels and allowing the PSN community to play them. Around this time they also announced there would be a multiplayer beta for this exact feature and we have intel on how to get into the beta.

This isn’t your average beta entry, you have to go to infamousthegame.com and register an account there, and even if you already have an account there you have to re-register says Sucker Punch. After registering you will have to opt into the beta contest that will choose some of the best levels that were made during the beta period and put them in a special spot in the game called “Sucker Punch Selections”.

So be sure to go to the website and sign-up because the deadline to sign-up is on March 21st, after you go through the process of signing up you will have to wait and hope that you are one of the applicants randomly selected into the beta. Sure it’s not your average beta sign-in process but the online aspect of this game looks worth it to me!
