Call of Duty: Ghosts Reveal Trailer

So the new Call of Duty finally has gameplay and opinions are mixed for many people, I really don’t see much of anything to be excited about with the reveal. Infinity Ward claims of innovative new gameplay and an enhanced graphics engine. The game will release later this year on the PS4 and Xbox One, with the map packs still having a one month timed exclusive on the Xbox One. What are your thoughts?

So Microsoft’s conference has wrapped up where they started by showing off the box itself, called the “Xbox One”, a somewhat odd name without much explanation as to really why it’s called that. My guess is it’s because all entertainment is wrapped into “One” box, the video below shows off the console, the next Kinect that will be shipped with the Xbox One, and the controller too. What do you guys think about it? Do you like the name? Like the look?

So one day before the new Xbox reveal, Sony has decided to drop a trailer teasing off the actual PS4 console itself with a zoom-in to a black, blurry blob with flickers of extreme close-ups of the PS4 console, the controller, and the camera. If you don’t feel like pausing the video to try to catch these images, you can view all the images here. It looks as though we see some parts of the back and front of the console, including fan grills and sharp, sleek edges that resemble something like the Batmobile. The materials used on the console look like that pretty black gloss and the shiny silver seen on the original ‘fat’ PS3, along with some sort of matte soft-touch black material also. Can’t wait to see this thing in full! What’s your thoughts?

Sony Santa Monica Studio Developing Unannounced Open World Game?

Santa Monica, a studio wholly owned by SCEA, has posted a job listing on gamasutra.com, looking for a Senior Combat Designer and a Level Designer for an open world game. Maybe a new IP for the PS4? Surely not an open world God of War? What are your thoughts?

Sony Reports Annual Profit

For the first time in 5 years, Sony Corp. turned a net profit. 43b Yen/$432m/£280m to specific.

While this is nowhere near the heights of Sony 10 years ago, they are clearly moving in the right direction. With Kaz at the helm, Sony has released a strong contender in the mobile space: the Xperia Z. There is also the impending release of the PS4 later this year. It remains to be seen where Sony move forward in the Photography and Television industries but Sony have made a good start.

It is important to remember Sony have recently sold off significant buildings, generating $2.5 billion. If that’s taken into account, Sony would very much still be in the red. Thoughts?

Plants vs. Zombies 2 Launch Date Announced

So after whats felt like forever! PopCap is FINALLY releasing the sequel to their massive hit, Plants vs. Zombies in July of this year.

I for one am super pumped and hope PvZ2 will be just as addictive as the original. Thoughts?

Call of Duty: Ghosts is Official, Comes with Teaser Trailer

Well what a surprise! The rumors were true! Yes, the next Call of Duty will naturally be releasing this year, named Call of Duty: Ghosts. It will bring the game in a new direction says Infinity Ward, and will sport a new graphics engine (finally) and will supposedly refresh some aspects of the game. The above video is just a teaser and doesn’t show much officially except at the end where it says that we will see more at Microsoft’s next Xbox event on May 21st. That’s where we’ll see the game actually running, mark your calendars!

New Grand Theft Auto V Trailer Shows 4 Minutes of the Three New Characters

A new trailer has released for Grand Theft Auto V which has made me ever more excited at this game. Each character having quite a bit of air time and showing a lot of great content from the game. Michael being a rich older guy that can’t give up his past life of crime, Franklin may get a lot of people excited because it seems as though he may be somewhat involved in Grove Street (look at all the green people are wearing in his trailer!) – reminds me a lot of CJ’s story! Lastly, there’s Trevor, man it’s gonna be hilarious to hear all the comments he makes and the things he will do in the game! Very exciting trailer, give it a look!

Watch Dogs has been on most of our lists ever since its surprise unveil at last years E3. It is still impressing us to this day with this new trailer above, enjoy! Watch Dogs is releasing on PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Wii U, and PC on November 19, 2013 in North America and November 22, 2013 in Europe.

BEYOND: Two Souls – 35 Minutes of Gameplay

Forgot about Ratchet and Clank? Well they’re making a huge comeback! In movie form! Yes, it’s finally time that we get a good animated movie based off of a video game, and that’s Ratchet and Clank! Who could be better? I personally can’t wait to see what they do with this move and the announcement trailer is right above, pretty funny, definitely give it a listen!
