Just a few hours ago a small update for Xbox Live On Xbox 360 was released, the main change in this software update is the change from Microsoft Points to real local currency. As we already know from websites in the past 80 Microsoft Points is actually $1.
Your current Microsoft Points will be automatically converted after you finish installing the software update, the points are rounded up to the nearest half a dollar or pound. For example if your current Microsoft points equal $70.43 it will round it up to $70.50.
The update is rolling out right now in some regions so if you have not already go download the update right now.
Now that all the emotional brouhaha is over, the dust is finally settling.
Despite the enormous negative reaction to Microsoft’s DRM and Always On policies, both the PS4 and Xbox one are accumulating unprecedented number of pre-orders. So that bodes well for next generation gaming on a whole. This fact was lost though, in the firestorm of fury over the last week or so. Why? Because too many people were trying to get the last word in debating who sold more, who’s gonna win and so on with fanboy rancor that made it apparent some people’s feeling were really hurt by Microsoft’s apparent poor showing. Just because Sony out shined the competition, in no way means Microsoft didn’t have a stellar presentation as well. So lets get POSITIVE about this.
While E3 is still blazing along with so much news our ethernet cables are catching fire, the important parts were yesterday and I look to dig into the main events that were the Press Conferences.
In part one, I give you my impressions of Microsoft’s conference with part two covering with EA & Ubisoft’s, and finally part three dedicated to Sony. Read more below to hear about Microsoft’s conference.
So yesterday Microsoft finally unveiled the Xbox One. But how well did Microsoft do? Did they tick the right boxes or did they surrender their next-gen market share to Sony? I look to dive in and give you all my impressions on the Xbox One.
So in all of the Sony buzz right now, Microsoft must be sitting in a board meeting with body language and subliminal messaging experts; examining overly complex diagrams and slow-motion videos of Sony’s Future of PlayStation event. Looking at what they should really be worried about, and what is total bs. Hint: Remote Play!
But seriously, I’m sure they’re now deep in thought about what bullet to fire off first. So I thought we should look slightly deeper into what Microsoft might have up their expensive sleeves, and possibly make a few predictions and suggestions.
In this video, DLB and his guest, Kyle “US_ARMY”, discuss what they think will happen next… next generation, even if consoles will even exist after next-generation, will the console companies move to service companies like OnLive? See what the guys think in their latest video.
