VG Chartz has revealed the full 2013 numbers on next generation consoles, according to those numbers the PlayStation 4 has sold around 3.9 million units with the Xbox One Selling 2.9 million units. Microsoft also made a press release a few days ago saying the Xbox One has sold around 3 Million units worldwide in 2013 and as you can VG Chartz seems to back that statement.
At this time Sony has not announced there 2013 sales numbers but we believe VG Chartz is correct, DLB-Network looked into the numbers yesterday an estimated the PlayStation 4 to have sold around 4 million units. We got this number by estimating December’s sales in EU and US with other sales numbers we received, plus the extra boost sony got in December with releasing the PlayStation 4 in Middle East and Asia pushed it up to the 4 million mark.
If you would like to see the full next-gen console sales for 2013 please click the ‘Read More’ button below, we have also placed the top 10 selling games of 2013, Note this does not include software sales.
DLB-Network got the 411 that GameStop will have both the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One consoles in stock this weekend. Supplies are limited, and that is to be expected with any hot item. I guess even Santa’s little helpers have limits. So if you are still trying to get one or both of these next gen consoles under your christmas tree, you now have a heads up on where to go. Customers should contact their local GamesStop for availability throughout the weekend.
DLB is doing another live unboxing like he did with the Playstation 4 last week, you can watch the live unboxing below.
The SmartGlass application has similar features to its competitor, it allows you to move around the Xbox One UI, search for content and pin it, browse the web on your TV using your device, get game help, message friends and watch video clips. The Xbox One will be released this Friday November 22nd.
The Twitch app for Xbox One won’t allow gameplay live streaming at launch, the application will still be available day one but misses the live gameplay streaming feature, Twitch had the following to say.
“We are working to ensure the initial Twitch on Xbox One broadcasting experience meets the expectations of the Twitch community,” said Twitch, “So while this feature won’t be available right away, we’ll let you know as soon as it is ready during Q1 next year.”
The Twitch application for Xbox One can be downloaded via the Xbox Store at launch and will allow you to watch and comment on live streams, get achievements and edit your profile.
DLB wants to know what next-gen consoles, games and accessories you will be picking up in the near future. He also gives information on everything he will be getting around launch, note the video was recorded before DriveClub and Watch Dogs was delayed.
