GameStop Expo – Tekken Tag Tournament 2 Gameplay Footage

DLB-NETWORK EXCLUSIVE (BY DAMIAN) - This is Tekken Tag Tournament 2 being played on the PS3, this is a handicap match overall. The game plays just like every other Tekken in the series, visually a 10, controls are very smooth, button combinations are really easy to get down to score higher combos. I hope online runs smooth and no lag issues when the game comes out too. Here at the expo, they also had a tournament, the winner of the tournament would receive a Tekken Tag Tournament 2 fight stick which also included the game and a headset which I did not no the brand of, enjoy!

Let’s Talk Sports Games

Let’s Talk Sports Games

This week’s Let’s Talk I’ll be discussing sports games.  I used to be a sports games gamer, I know that’s not proper English but whatever.  When I was younger over half of my video game collection consisted of sports games.  Whether it was Madden, FIFA, NBA, NCAA Football, or even NASCAR I loved sports games.  Read more after the jump and as always be sure to sign up and comment.

2012 Game Developer Choice Awards Nominations

2012 Game Developer Choice Awards Nominations

The Game Developer Choice Awards is probably the best award show in gaming.  It’s an honor for a developer to earn an award because the voting is done entirely by their peers.  Some of 2011′s biggest games will be on display like Skyrim and Uncharted, but smaller download only Bastion has also earned five nominations.  In addition to the actual video game awards, the GDCA also recognizes important people in the industry with the Lifetime Achievement Award, Pioneer Award, and the Ambassador Award.  This will be the 12th annual GDC Award ceremony being held in San Francisco March 7, 2012.

Epic Mickey 2 Will Be Multiplatform

Epic Mickey 2 Will Be Multiplatform

Epic Mickey released in 2010 received mostly positive reviews from critics, and sold 1.3 million units in it’s first month.  The Wii exclusive focused on Mickey Mouse as he uses his magic brush to manipulate his environment and save some of Disney’s familiar and forgotten characters.  The art design and the story is probably some of the best the console has to offer considering most well received games came from Nintendo’s own studios.

Will Used and Rented Games Survive?

Will Used and Rented Games Survive?

You are starting to see more and more games follow in EA’s footsteps by charging a $10 fee to play used, and rented games online. Some are even taking it even further by removing parts of the single player!

One thing that upsets me about this whole thing is that now Sony is starting to do this with their exclusive titles, starting with Resistance 3 and now Uncharted 3. I for one don’t think Microsoft will follow in these footsteps with their exclusive titles. The reason I feel this way is due to them already charging you to access online features via XboxLive, but only time will tell if Microsoft follows suit.

Modern Warfare 3 Surpasses $1 Billion in Sales

Modern Warfare 3 Surpasses $1 Billion in Sales

Activision/Blizzard has announced that the hit FPS Call of Duty:Modern Warfare 3 has made $1 Billion in sales. MW3 only took 16 days to reach the milestone while it’s Infinity Ward predecessor MW2 achieved the same feat in 60 days.  This isn’t just a record for gaming, but it’s also a record in the entire entertainment industry as 2009′s box office hit Avatar made just as much in 17 days.  Activision/Blizzard CEO Robert Kotick commented

“Modern Warfare 3, and other games by us, have a much broader appeal than they have had in the past, with the social nature of the game offering a different type of interactive experience that has not existed before…” – Robert Kotick

The Call of Duty is probably the biggest name in the entertainment industry.  That said it doesn’t look like the franchise is going away anytime soon as every year it seems to shatter sales records.

Anonymous to take over Lulzsec hacking group

Anonymous to take over Lulzsec hacking group

Last week a late aged teenager from Essex england ( sounds like me o dear :O jk ) was arrested for being the head of a hacking group called Lulzsec. This group claim to have been behind attacks on websites around the world, including the UK’s Serious Organised Crime Agency (Soca), the US Senate and the CIA, as well as the games firms Nintendo and Sony. also note latest rumours indicate the hacker has been bailed out.

Now onto Anonymous, they recently said via Twitter:

“We like to clarify again: All LulzSec members are accounted for, nobody is hiding. Only a name was abandoned for the greater glory #AntiSec”

So what is anonymous up to this time ?.
