Well what a surprise! The rumors were true! Yes, the next Call of Duty will naturally be releasing this year, named Call of Duty: Ghosts. It will bring the game in a new direction says Infinity Ward, and will sport a new graphics engine (finally) and will supposedly refresh some aspects of the game. The above video is just a teaser and doesn’t show much officially except at the end where it says that we will see more at Microsoft’s next Xbox event on May 21st. That’s where we’ll see the game actually running, mark your calendars!
A new trailer has released for Grand Theft Auto V which has made me ever more excited at this game. Each character having quite a bit of air time and showing a lot of great content from the game. Michael being a rich older guy that can’t give up his past life of crime, Franklin may get a lot of people excited because it seems as though he may be somewhat involved in Grove Street (look at all the green people are wearing in his trailer!) – reminds me a lot of CJ’s story! Lastly, there’s Trevor, man it’s gonna be hilarious to hear all the comments he makes and the things he will do in the game! Very exciting trailer, give it a look!
Watch Dogs has been on most of our lists ever since its surprise unveil at last years E3. It is still impressing us to this day with this new trailer above, enjoy! Watch Dogs is releasing on PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Wii U, and PC on November 19, 2013 in North America and November 22, 2013 in Europe.
BEYOND: Two Souls is a highly anticipated game that is set to release exclusively on the PlayStation 3 on October 8, 2013, made by Quantic Dream, the developers of Heavy Rain, this is bound to be another great game by them. Be warned though, this video may contain spoilers!
Forgot about Ratchet and Clank? Well they’re making a huge comeback! In movie form! Yes, it’s finally time that we get a good animated movie based off of a video game, and that’s Ratchet and Clank! Who could be better? I personally can’t wait to see what they do with this move and the announcement trailer is right above, pretty funny, definitely give it a listen!
This week we have a lot of people! Just kidding, it’s a relatively small show this time but still filled with a lot of interesting topics, including Adam Orth and his “always-on” tweets and resulting controversy, we also talk about EA earning the highly valued award of the worst company in America, along with the possibility of PS4 launching worldwide at the end of this year at a possible price of $530, all that and more on this weeks DLB-Network Gaming Podcast! Listen to the show after the break:
There’s a problem with co-op in the gaming industry, we barely see it in use, more importantly, we barely see it ever used in a way that’s actually fun or impressive. This generation we have seen games every now and then implement a co-op in their game, most of the time it has simply been a game where someone can join in your campaign and be your shooting buddy and not really give you much of an advantage in any way, or you will see a game have “tacked-on” co-op that doesn’t relate in any way to the story. The issue is that co-op sucks now, and somebody needs to revive it, because it’s something that could be so incredible.
There are two games this generation in which I truly appreciated co-op, the first one is Rainbow Six Vegas (Also including Vegas 2 into this, they’re both basically one in the same). This was the first game I have personally ever played where co-op was so much fun to me, where it actually seemed to matter. How awesome it was to look under the door with a snake cam, target people in other rooms and then strategies with your co-op friends how you would breech a room, and what doors you would use, or if you would burst through the window with a rappel! Every corner had different possibilities and it was fun! For quite some time, no game’s co-op has ever touched me like the Rainbow Six Vegas series did, that was until Battlefield 3 released…
In this episode, we talk a lot about the recent GDC announcements that occurred this week – which includes Battlefield 4! (insert epic Battlefield soundtrack here), we also talk about more PS4, Steam early access to games, and a lot more this week, enjoy!
