Ubisoft to Wait and See For Splinter Cell Conviction for PS3

Ubisoft to Wait and See For Splinter Cell Conviction for PS3

Splinter Cell: Conviction has just released on the Xbox 360 and will release very soon on the PC and time and time again we were told by Ubisoft Devs that this title will only be available on Microsoft’s platforms. On a recent interview with VG24s though, Ubisoft’s Maxime Béland spoke otherwise saying that hey may consider moving adding Splinter Cell: Conviction the the PS3 line-up “We’ll have to see what decisions are made by Ubisoft’s management in the future.” He also spoke on their decision to only have this game on the 360 and the PC, “The decision for Conviction was purely a business move. Microsoft have been wonderful in their support for Conviction.”

Not to mention that there have been a few accidental hints from Ubisoft developers on the internet listing Splinter Cell: Conviction as a PS3 game also. I guess it depends and “we’ll have to see” as Maxime stated, if you really want the game and do not own an Xbox 360, you will find this on PC next Tuesday, April 27th.

Splinter Cell: Conviction Goes Gold, New Video Released

Splinter Cell: Conviction has been on many peoples radars for a good while now, especially with its multiple delays but the game will be releasing on April 13th in North America and the 16th in Europe and that can pretty much be confirmed now as Ubisoft has announced today that the game has gone gold. This game will be releasing on the Xbox 360 and PC.

250GB X360 HDD Out Now, 120GB HDD Gets Price Drop

250GB X360 HDD Out Now, 120GB HDD Gets Price Drop

For some time now you have only been able to find official 250GB Xbox 360 Hard Drives in bundles like the Modern Warfare 2 Bundle and the upcoming bundle for Splinter Cell: Conviction, well Microsoft has made a quiet announcement in the Spotlight section of the dashboard announcing that the 250GB hard drive will be available at participating retailers, not too  much later Microsoft announced that it should be available now on store shelves for $129.99.

Additionally, Microsoft also announced that the 120GB HDD that has been out for quite some time now has received a price-drop to $99.99 (which is still overpriced). Microsoft added that they will be at this price while supplies last, which means they may be discontinuing the 120GB HDD.

Play The Splinter Cell: Conviction Demo on XBL This Week

Play The Splinter Cell: Conviction Demo on XBL This Week

If you just can’t wait until the actual game releases in a little less than a month on April 13th  for the Xbox 360 and PC you’re in luck because the demo will be available in the Xbox Live Marketplace this week, March 18th to be exact. Splinter Cell: Conviction will offer a new type of gameplay for the series that includes more stealth, thought, and skill to get through levels, it reminds me of the Rainbow Six series and I honestly cannot wait to get my hands on this game next month. If you haven’t spent much time researching the game you may want to check out the demo when it hits Xbox Live in a few days.

Splinter Cell: Conviction (Hopefully) Releasing 4/13/10

Ubisoft has just announced that you can expect Splinter Cell: Conviction on April 13th, 2010. After being delayed twice, don’t set your calendars just yet because it may even be delayed a third time. The guys from Ubisoft sent a small stone to IGN with the release date of the game on it, this probably suggests that the release date is “set in stone”. Hopefully, because I want to play this game already!

Today’s Ubisoft Announcements In One Nice Package

Ubisoft has announced many things today that has to do with their upcoming games and the company, the first thing, if you haven’t seen the news post on the subject is that Splinter Cell: Conviction will be pushed back to April, the highly anticipated shooter for PC and 360 was originally planned to release next month…

Raving Rabbids 4, that crazy funny game on the Wii was just announced today and is planned to release some time between April 1st of this year to April 1st of 2011. This period is also when they plan to release the next Driver game, Ubisoft bought the series while it was going nowhere but down (Driver: Parallel Lines) and with some luck, they could bring the series back to where it was.

Ubisoft has also said that they plan to refocus on bringing games the the PS3 and the 360, since their casual market on the Wii and DS isn’t doing as great as it once was. Also, there’s rumors of Assassin’s Creed II getting multiplayer DLC, or was it the next Assassin’s Creed… Or maybe it was a completely different game now… There seems to be a lot of confusion with this rumor, so I will just leave it at that.
