Splinter Cell: Conviction has just released on the Xbox 360 and will release very soon on the PC and time and time again we were told by Ubisoft Devs that this title will only be available on Microsoft’s platforms. On a recent interview with VG24s though, Ubisoft’s Maxime Béland spoke otherwise saying that hey may consider moving adding Splinter Cell: Conviction the the PS3 line-up “We’ll have to see what decisions are made by Ubisoft’s management in the future.” He also spoke on their decision to only have this game on the 360 and the PC, “The decision for Conviction was purely a business move. Microsoft have been wonderful in their support for Conviction.”
Not to mention that there have been a few accidental hints from Ubisoft developers on the internet listing Splinter Cell: Conviction as a PS3 game also. I guess it depends and “we’ll have to see” as Maxime stated, if you really want the game and do not own an Xbox 360, you will find this on PC next Tuesday, April 27th.
Ubisoft has just announced at Tokyo Game Show that Splinter Cell Conviction will be releasing on February 23rd, 2010. This game will release on the Xbox and PC.
Remember when I said to take your bets on what game will be delayed next? Well if you guessed Splinter Cell: Conviction, you were right. Ubisoft has announced that they are delaying the game from fall 2009 to Q1 2010 (January 1st to March 31st). This affects both PC and the Xbox 360.
This game is coming to the PC and xbox 360 later this year.
Splinter Cell: Conviction has been on many peoples radars for a good while now, especially with its multiple delays but the game will be releasing on April 13th in North America and the 16th in Europe and that can pretty much be confirmed now as Ubisoft has announced today that the game has gone gold. This game will be releasing on the Xbox 360 and PC.
If you just can’t wait until the actual game releases in a little less than a month on April 13th for the Xbox 360 and PC you’re in luck because the demo will be available in the Xbox Live Marketplace this week, March 18th to be exact. Splinter Cell: Conviction will offer a new type of gameplay for the series that includes more stealth, thought, and skill to get through levels, it reminds me of the Rainbow Six series and I honestly cannot wait to get my hands on this game next month. If you haven’t spent much time researching the game you may want to check out the demo when it hits Xbox Live in a few days.
There sure is a bunch of action in this trailer, just makes me more excited to get the game myself. This game releases on the Xbox 360 and PC on April 13th.
Ubisoft has just announced that you can expect Splinter Cell: Conviction on April 13th, 2010. After being delayed twice, don’t set your calendars just yet because it may even be delayed a third time. The guys from Ubisoft sent a small stone to IGN with the release date of the game on it, this probably suggests that the release date is “set in stone”. Hopefully, because I want to play this game already!
Ubisoft has announced the details for the the Splinter Cell: Conviction Collectors Edition which released alongside the regular game on February 23rd, 2010. It will be priced at $79.99, $20.00 more than the regular version of the game but you will get a lot of goodies, you will be getting an art book with some artwork from pas titiles in the series, a comic book revealing the events before Splinter Cell: Conviction, some decal stickers including the classic bullet holes, a USB drive that resembles a credit card, an exclusive in-game gun and player skin, and of course a copy of Splinter Cell: Conviction. The one thing it’s missing is some night-vision goggles =)
A game designer for Splinter Cell: Conviction walks you through a video and shows you some nice features and gameplay for this game. Sadly he didn’t come prepared with his night-vision goggles, so some may find the video a little dark in some areas. Somewhat reminds me of the Rainbow Six games but better. This game will be releasing on the Xbox 360 and the PC on February 23, 2010.
