Yesterday Playstation held a PS4 review event in New York, this event revealed new information on the PS4 UI, Voice Commands and Camera features.

The Playstation 4 will have a bunch of voice commands at launch, these voice commands are relatively simple compared to the Xbox One but do feature some cool ways to navigate the UI. You can use voice commands to open games and applications (Not all supported), turn the Playstation 4 off and search the Playstation Store, voice commands will be supported via any compatible Mic and the Playstation Camera. If you plan to buy the Playstation Camera that will also have a few system level features, like the ability to log-in via face recognition and use picture on picture with live streaming and gameplay recording.

Now let’s move on to the Playstation 4 UI, the system now allows guest log-ins, these temporary profiles give access to the guests PSN account and store content without having to create a new user on someone else’s machine. New Multi-tasking features, You can easily switch between the game you have on the go and other apps – say, the browser to check a guide, or a chat program – using the home button on the DualShock 4: a double press takes you to the last opened app.

Click the ‘Read More’ button if you are currently on the homepage to get all the new information about the Playstation 4 UI.

The trophy system on the Playstation 4 has had some nice improvements, you now have a rarity value, so if you have a common platinum it might not worth as much as a rare gold or silver. Improvements to friend lists, when you add a new friend to your 2,000 strong list, you can choose whether to show them your real name or just your PSN ID.

Finally moving to the entertain area, all movies and music are entirely cloud based, so you won’t ever need to download them, or free up hard drive space.

So the PS Eye camera is $100 now eh, so its practically the same price as the X1 if bundled. Now judging from the good reviews on the camera and how its a must have to experience next gen, fanboys are going to get one of these badboys and realize yes we paid $500
