Sony revealed something pretty cool at the TGS Conference this morning and it’s called PlayStation Vita TV. This new piece of hardware is a small sub console priced at 9,480 yen which is equivalent to £79.99/$100, a different model with a 8GB memory card and a dualShock 3 controller will be priced at 14,280 yen which again is equivalent to £110/$150.
This console allows you to download PS Vita Games and PSP Games via the Playstation Store or connect your exciting PS Vita memory card and play the games you have already downloaded. Basically this system allows you to play your PS Vita and PSP games on your HD tv at 460p 720p and 1080i while using a DualShock 3 to control the games.
The mini console will also have various media functions like being able to use Music Unlimited, hulu and more.
Finally the new PS Vita TV will allow you to stream Playstation 4 titles to other tv’s around your house, for example if someone is playing Killzone Shadow Fall on the ps4 but someone else wants to play Knack he can just connect the PS Vita TV to the PLayStation 4 and play Knack in another room. Of course to do this you would need atleast 2 DualShock 4 controllers but thats down to you.
PS Vita TV will be coming to Japan on November 14th, no information for other regions has been announced at this time.
