PlayStation Sends Me & Many Other Gamers a $10 PS Store Credit Over PSN

Just now, at 12:00 AM central time, I was playing Skyrim and an interesting message flashed at the top right of my screen titled “$10 Credit”, sent from PSN, curiously I checked the message out, because based off the sender this clearly wasn’t spam that I usually get from the usual random player copying and pasting spam promising 20 free games if I tell all my friends to bow down to Kevin Butler, this message was the real deal!

The message says: “Thank you for being a loyal customer and fan of the PlayStation Network. As a token of our appreciation, we’ve sent you $10.00 to spend on the PlayStation Store!”‘

I quickly then checked Twitter to find that some friends of mine were also getting the same message and then went to the PlayStation Blog to find that many other gamers leaving “thank you” comments in the latest blog post, I wonder who gets these? My guess is PSN gamers that have been around for a while who are “loyal customers,” or people that have bought a lot of stuff from the Store over the years. Did you guys get this? How long have you been signed up to PSN?

It is February 20th, the big day for PlayStation, highly thought to be the reveal day of the much anticipated PlayStation 4, and already I am enjoying today, down to the first minute!

Thank you PlayStation, nice and generous surprise!
