Hideo Kojima Confirms Metal Gear Solid 5
It seems that Hideo Kojima has confirmed Metal Gear Solid 5 which will run on the Kojima Productions new FOX engine. Kojima stated to IG Magazine
“About Metal Gear Solid 5, I can tell you two things. There will be much question of infiltration, espionage, and convincing people to give you ‘a favor’ like in the last Metal Gear Solid” Kojima continued ”We have not yet finished with Solid Snake, despite the fact that I wanted to let him die at the end of Guns of the Patriots.”
Nothing else has been confirmed. Considering it’s this late in the console cycle it’s probably safe to assume that the next MGS will be coming to the PS4 and possibly the Xbox “720″.

If Kojima wants his beloved franchised ruined and lose its star stutter glamour like Final Fantasy, Devil May Cry, Tekken, and Ace Combat then let him put it on a Microsoft console. Legacy titles like Metal Gear need to stay on the console in which they got their fame from. Yes I know Metal Gear started on the MSX but it wasn’t until Metal Gear Solid on the PS1 that game hit super star status.
We’ve all seen how our favorite games from last gen have suffered this gen in design,lack of innovation,and less content and the main reason is the 360 is less capable than the PS3. Games like FFXIII have suffered drastically because of it and lets not even think how many DVD’s would be needed for MGS4. All in all this will always be a PlayStation Legacy franchise and it needs to stay that way.

The 4th one was great, I wonder if they put this one on the next Xbox. I hope they do because i’m 360 only now.

if they do bring this out on ps4 and xbox720 i hope the 720 is on par with ps4 so mgs5 wont be compromised in its quality.

Thank God for this, cause the new Metal Gear Rising game has brought down the pedigree of the MGS series greatly. MGR could have been epic but no. Hopefully the franchise will redeem it self with MGS5. MGS4 is pound for pound the greatest game of the 7th gen systems. Hands down.
