Google Releases Awesome 8-Bit Version of Maps for April Fools Day

If it’s one thing I love to do on April Fool’s Day, it’s seeing all of the jokes websites have come up with, and Google is definitely one of the best this year with the Google Fiber Bar, The YouTube CollectionGmail Tap (LMAO!), and as you can see above, “Quest” for Google Maps. What’s intended as an April Fool’s joke is actually something very awesome! What Google has done was actually 8-Bit the entire world map, along with pixelating and recoloring the street-view too, it’s really something you should go check out right now! (There is a quest button at the top-right or left side of the Google Maps page). Google says in their April Fools video that the reasoning for doing this is to make Google Maps compatible with the Nintendo Entertainment System, haha nicely done. Google has definitely had their fair share of gaming mentions, you think this tops the fully-working Google Pacman page from a few years ago?
