Late last year, Ubisoft Montreal released a cheesy “behind the scenes” video series of their offices and in one video they were supposedly acting out scenes for the next Rainbow Six game, the whole video was very cheesy and somewhat sketchy but it was clarified that they were “working on a new Rainbow Six game” in the video. This left fans skeptical of if the game was seriously being developed or if this was just a sketch.
Now there is more evidence to show that another Rainbow Six may actually be in the works. A profile on LinkedIn from recording engineer Sean Popejoy stated, “Developed Pro Tools sessions from Ubisoft audio for the game demo of Rainbow Six (2011).” Another detail found was a domain apparently owned by Ubisoft for Rainbow Six which was last edited last year.
I am personally in high hopes that a new Rainbow Six game will be announced because I was a huge fan of both Rainbow Six Vegas games and I think that they are up to par with the Call of Duty series in some cases. The game uses tactical shooting offline and especially online at its best. The graphics could’ve been better in the Vegas games but what really shined was the great gameplay and online in those games that I’ve been dying to play again. Anyway, before I end up writing a review on the past two Vegas games, I’ll just finish off with hoping we will get an announcement at E3.
