CoD: Black Ops Four Player Co-op, Release Date!

It has been confirmed today that the upcoming game Call of Duty: Black Ops by Treyarch will be featuring four-player co-op. If you remember, Modern Warfare 2 promised co-op but pulled it out of the game before release because it supposedly ruined the single-player experience. One character you are confirmed to play as is a Black Ops agent during a recent showing on a mission with a lot of stealth.

At least some of this story will take place during 1968 which is around an intense time of the Cold War. Treyarch studio head Mark Lamia said, ”The team is really excited about creating a game in this period… We really felt like it was fertile ground for us and we could provide something fresh for gamers.” Call of Duty: Black Ops is due to release later this year on the Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3.

UPDATE – The release date for PC, PS3, Xbox 360, and Wii will be November 9th of this year for Call of Duty: Black Ops.

@MAXVTEC: what do you mean you can play in game music in call of duty 2 which launched on the xbox360 in 2005, so im pretty sure cod:BO will.

You don’t have to be a dick about it. No, it probably won’t support In Game Music since only a handful of titles do on the PS3. The only multiplatform game I know of that supports In Game Music is Burnout: Paradise. Aside from that, I guess DLB will be happy about 4 player co-op. lol

Hopefully it does surpass MW2. So far BO sounds more interesting than MW2
