All through the day, news has been going around the internet of signs that the heads of Activision have left the company and it has now been confirmed by Activision. Jason West and Vince Zampella were the heads that have left Infinity Ward and their job will be taken up by Activision Publishing chief technology officer Steve Pearce and head of production Steve Ackrich, there is still no official conformation as to why the heads have left but expect further details on that soon.
Reports were said to appear as early as last Monday where their departure was briefly mentioned in their companies financial overview, “This matter is expected to involve the departure of key personnel and litigation. At present, the Company does not expect this matter to have a material impact on the Company.” There has also been reports of head Jason West setting his Facebook status to unemployed. Some rumors say that it has to do with royalties, which Activision is not paying to Infinity Ward but again nothing is confirmed.
