So some of you may have noticed that we have added and updated some new things today and we would like to bring your attention to them so you won’t miss them. We took some of your feedback and put them in and put in some of our own cool stuff too, just because we didn’t take your feedback doesn’t mean we’re not going to use it! We still aren’t’ done yet with the new site design but it is finally starting to piece together. The updates are detailed below.
- There is now a “Podcast” page which is found at the top navigation bar, when you go here, you will be greeted with the latest podcast in tons of information about it, including a few quick links to the past few podcasts. (note that podcasts will still be updated in the form of news posts when they are released).
- A “Forums” button has finally also been added to the top navigation bar which will obviously direct you straight to the forums.
- A “Weekly Poll” has been added to the sidebar which will act as “Sunday’s Poll” now, the poll will be updated every weekend so remember to vote!
- The podcast can now quickly and easily be found in the sidebar, you can play it and listen to the newest episode from right there.
- More to come!
More Updates – 20/2/10
- User Request – all comments are now on one page like before you don’t have to click next page to see the latest ones.
- User Request – The Poll is no longer at the bottom of the sidebar.
- The default User avatar is now more appealing
More Updates – 21/2/10
- New “video” page connects you to all the YouTube channels of the site admins and shows the latest video too (only YouTube original videos, not trailers).
- The Featured post slideshow is finally up, hope you all like it

Just a few more things lol…
Why in the world is there 2 horizontal menu’s?
There’s no reason why the top menu can’t be added to the main one under the pending logo..
Talking of the main menu, why is there “home” and “dlb-network” which both link to exactly the same thing, expect “home” looks tidier?
And talking of extra links the dlb-network pending logo also links to the same place and so does the “home” link in the extra un-needed navigation bar at the top… Basically in the space of 600px there are 4 links to the same place..
Personal suggestion, remove the top menu system above the logo and move them to the main one. Then resize the tags so that they fill out the entire bar.
One last thing, the source code needs tidying

well the top bar is pages and the one under the logo is categories, that’s kinda how it works, it’s kinda complicated too, we can’t merge both together either but I think we can just delete the category bar under the logo (since nobody uses it anyway) but I’m not all that sure about it. Also, that couple seconds of lag you get when going to a new page is due to the podcast embed player in the sidebar, I will have to tell Clewis about that.

its nice, no pause feature hurts it… it’s also killing speed (at least it is on chrome)

I don’t know if its just my screen but on the sideshow the icons for the Playstation store updates are a bit pixelated and could look a little better
