Modern Warfare 2 Updates Incoming
A few more tweaks to the game that little game MW2 will be comming to the PC today and the consoles soon as its in the testing stage. If you are one of those people who are emotionally hurt by the small little glitches and lack of fine tunning i hope this update helps you feel better. It also most likely looks to pave the way for new MW2 Map packs that are rumored to be released in the next few months. Here are the details:
- Care Package, Emergency Airdrop, and Sentry Gun marker grenades sprint speed normalized.
- Sentry Guns: Improved placement detection, preventing cases of Sentry Guns inside geometry.
- Model 1887: Bling using Akimbo and FMJ combination now has same range and damage as non-Bling Model 1887s.
- Improved player collision removing cases of getting into geometry and ‘elevators’.
- Mouse latency tweaks for more mouse movement consistency. (PC-ONLY)
- Fixes to prevent various texture hacks (PC-ONLY)
- Fix to prevent various XP hacks, including the prevention of obtaining negative XP.
*You can look for it in the next few weeks if you are a ps3 or 360 owner.

…I’m still waiting for them to take those knife perks, heartbeat sensors, and overpowered dual shotguns out. Then I think it will be a better game (well, not for the noobs)

Ok I don’t see anything that will stop the campers for taking over the game on this list. They forgot to add
- If your in a corner for more then 6 minutes with a MP5 etc. You blow the fuck up!
Then maybe I’ll go back to playing the game. But intell then I’ll stick with COD4. Feels like I wasn’t my money on MW1.2

The Care Package Glitch will be greatly missed by PWNers and PWNees, but I still got my Tactical Knife so watch out MOTHAFUCKA!!!!

Thank god they have removed the care marker glitch thingy, that was so annoying. However i think there is more stuff to be nerfed, like the AUG, and the Scar-H, but thats just my opinion. Commando users should get a marker above their head or something, because getting melee’d from 10ft away unexpectedly is freakin’ irritating. Oh and painkiller should just be slightly nerfed so that it doesnt take as much damage to kill them – 5 shots with the intervention to the chest? Cmoooooon its not like theyre ALL fucking Rambo’s and Arnie’s!

Personally I haven’t been angry at the performance of the game. I mean it is irritating to get knifed by someone with commando from far away but then again that just adds to the experience

i dont have any complaints about the game. if theres something u dont like about it like getting knifed or campers maybe u should go make ur own game and get over it. i understand these things can b frustrating to some but i just hate when ppl lash out at me for playing the game that infinity ward made..
although i could def use a map pack to get my interest back.. ive been playing alot of ufc/saints row/ff8 lately

campers? i hate them, but you just have to learn and check every corner. In real life you don’t get to run around and shoot people, you use cover and check every angle.

@Machee, that’s very true, and you should check every corner for campers, but on a fast paced game like cod it’s very hard to. Also with ppl spawning behind/aound you all the time it’s much harder.

and knife perk, u mean either commando or tactical knife, either of witch is very useful and comes with advantages and disadvantages

Take out commando, marathon, lightweight, danger close, last stand, grenade launchers, heartbeat sensors, thermal scopes, anti-UAV shit excluding silencer, EMP, nuke, care packages/emergency airdrops, increase how many kills it takes to get UAV/CUAV, fix the spawn system, fix the servers (at least on ps3 they are bad), lower the power of the guns, increase the amount of fall damage you can take by a bit, and circulate the maps better or let me choose which maps I want to play.
AND THEN I will have nothing to complain about because every time I die will be because I got out-shot on my own merit on a map I feel comfortable on. If I go 1-1 or 2-1 or 3-1 it will be because I earned it, not because I got lucky or someone else got lucky. Well, if I am using hardline perk, I earned one less kill than the kill streaks say, but I can live with that.
Don’t tell me to stop complaining and make my own game, because that is not a feasible solution at this point and is just a stupid comment. The easiest solution is staring us in the face. Activision needs to get off their rich, lazy ass and FIX THE SERVERS, and Infinity Ward needs to gain control of the series and improve on what COD4 lacked or did wrong, not ADD MORE SHIT (excluding maps and new guns of course).
I’m glad they are nerfing the model 1887s and fixing some minor glitches with the game, but I would really like to see them fix the major issues. It would make me happy to participate in the addicting gameplay, not curse the fact that COD4 hooked me on it. It would be like playing Killzone 2 without being nauseous and with a more addicting gameplay. Truly bliss.

I am getting sick of the stupid heart beat sensors, they are so cheap. You should be able to find some1 with out it, also on the mini map take off the red dots from enemy fire, kinda annoying. In real life with the new tech soldiers don’t see little red dots on their map from enemy fire, Please get rid of the Care Package glitch it’s getting very annoying & pissing people off. The Barrett 50Cal should be a little bit stronger since it’s a high powered sniper rifle.
