Rockstar has just announced that, Grand Theft Auto: Episodes From Liberty City is coming to the PS3 and PC on March 30. It will be the same format as the xbox 360 where you can buy them from the playstation store/ games for windows or you can buy a disk from your locally game retail store. A disc will set you back $39.99, while individual episodes will be $20 each.

Well, I sold my copy of GTA IV a long time ago, but even if I had it, I’ll be [Lost and] Damned if I pay $40 for that shit. I don’t care how good they are. $40 is too much for a couple of episodes. It should be $20 for both, especially since they’ve been out for awhile (especially the Lost and Damned).

yeah i got rid of my gta 4 a long time ago too…but i can get a used gta 4 for about 15 and with the 40 for that it’s 55 which isnt too bad…they should have it so it’s less expensive to download then buy the disc…thats just me though

Well unlike the others above, I actually enjoyed GTA4 a lot, lol.
I’m thinking about getting these, but it depends on how long the episodes actually are (anybody care to share?). From what I understand, they’re each about half the length of the original GTA4, so it seems seems like a reasonable price to me. Some of you need to understand that damn near everything costs a lot of money, that’s just the way it is, it’s not overpriced.

Wow, really not worth $40. Your getting two new storylines which is around 6-8 hours long, new wapons, new soundtracks and shit load of things to do which you can’t do in gta 4. You guys are crazy thinking its expensive!

little advice, buy the ballad of gay tony but not the lost and the dammed, LATD is rubbish and doesent offer much new, BOGT is much better and gives you loads of new things

That’s good that they’re on PS3, but you guys are getting ripped off – for one the DLC is sooo old now, especially TLAD.
If anything, I say definitely buy both because there are bonuses packed in that add to the experience! As you play thru the DLC as new characters, you will run into and do missions with Niko!

Little lesson for you, England (yeah, you know that place i “claim” to be from) has been hit hard by the recession because the GBP was so strong, exchange rates have fallen and thus, our money isn’t worth as much as it used to.
Damon and Blu are right, it is actually around £26, but Sony are obviously going to round it up to £30 because £26 just doesn’t look right, and the English store is always overpriced…
I’m not saying you two was wrong, I was just stating my reasons for saying £30.

The U.S. seems to get the best prices on everything. Japan pays even more for games than the UK. I think FF 13 is gonna be the equivalent of like $90 USD in Japan. Yeah, I’ve considered importing as of late but there’s a number of negatives..
1. Giving money to America won’t get the U.K out of the recession (not that I don’t want the whole world to recover, but I would like my money to be worth something… no what I mean? lol)
2. Importing laws are getting tight over here now a days (Partly because of point 1)
3. Royal Mail (If you guys have heard of it) is the most unreliable postal service in the world, so I would have to pay for courier delivery, which may make the lower price in the U.S be equal or more than buying it over here.
4. Potential DLC would need to be brought from the U.S PS Store, and there’s no saying Sony won’t lock regions tomorrow.

lol, naa… We don’t have FedEx, although I have heard of it. We have Parcel Force… Game’s probably will get through customs but sometimes they get shitty and on the websites that you import from they warn you that you could potentially not receive the product because of customs.
Idk what you game cases are like in the U.S but I think they’re probably the same… On the spine of the box it’ll have a code… only content that matches that code will work.. U.S codes for the games and E.U codes are different.

Petrol/Gas is atm around £1.10-£1.18 (Although ASDA ((Walmart)) I think sell for £1 a litre)… So basically you get 5 times more fuel for roughly 70 cent more..

Before anyone calls me out on my maths from above I’ll explain how I came to my conclusion…
If you didn’t know, 1 litre (which is what we use over here) is equal to 0.2 of a gallon..
The rough dollar to sterling ratio is £1 to $1.80.
So,
5 litres = 1 Gallon
£1 = $1.80
For the same amount of fuel, we would have to pay £9, where you pay $2.50.
I might seem a bit OTT here, but I’m tired (almost 1am) and I’m tired of having to explain myself 1,000 times on every statement I make lol. Btw this wasn’t directed at anyone.

in this generation the xbox 360 is like the ps2 and the ps3 is like the original xbox. every game came out for ps2 then it eventually got ported to the xbox. thats how i c it.

@boyracing007: yea thats true they did flop. honestly i think its just because the 360 came out first. all the ppl who were serious gamers who could afford it ran out and got the first next gen console they could get their hands on, which led to a large fanbase. which is why developers r more inclined to develop on their systems=more money (i kno the programming is eisier on 360 too) and it was the same way just flopped last gen.

@blumatt: me too but i really doubt it. i think the xbox will b in NEED of an upgrade sooner than the ps3, especially if the xbox cant support 3d (i hav no idea if it can) i THINK the xbox’s hardware has already been tapped, but the ps3 has more to offer still. i think the second it becomes undeniable that the ps3 has the upper hand and is just starting to bask in glory the xbox will release something to overshadow it again, and the ps4 will probably release 1-2 years later
