That’s right, in case you have forgotten, the VGA’s 2009 is tonight at 8:00 PM EST. If for some reason you don’t have a TV available, don’t have the channel “Spike”, or just fee like checking out the cool camera angle features Spike.com is doing with the VGA’s this year you can watch it all right HERE. I’ll most likely be watching it online unless the streaming quality goes bad. So catch all your official VGA award winning games, as well as some supposedly big gaming trailers/surprises tonight. I don’t have a live chat to set up unfortunately but you guys could probably just comment below if you feel like sharing an opinion about something that happens tonight.
UPDATE: The Video Game Awards are now over and the game of the year award was given to Uncharted 2: Among Thieves.

Like DLB said Jeff Haynes from IGN has a good pull on what happens during the VGAs and look who won game of the year Uncharted 2. Also I’m beginning to think the only reason why Jack Black won best voice actor is because he hosted the VGAs last year so it’s their way of returning the favor.

@Machee: Fanboys??? Wow dude, the demo was more than enough to tell that Jack Black shouldn’t won that award. It doesn’t matter to me if the actor from uncharted won or not but Jack winning that award doesn’t make much sense unless it was a favor from them because he hosted last year. Shit that might as well have given it to 50 cent cause he’s a celebrity and he starred in his own game.

In 2007, Bioshock won Game of the Year, but didn’t win Best Shooter.. even though it’s a first peron shooter. At the VMA’s, Beyonce won Video of the Year, but didn’t win Best Female Video. It doesn’t really make sense, but they do it to spread the awards as much as possible.

Jack Black is an actor but not a good one and for damn sure ain’t “certified”. If I ever had to watch Nacho Libre again there would be hell to pay. If you can’t tell that there was better voice acting in his category besides Nolan North than I don’t know what to say. I have better things to do than play Brutal Legend and here his so *terrific* acting skills for 6-8 hours of game play.

Sweet!! I’m so glad MW2 didn’t win GOTY. I voted like 4 times for Uncharted 2 on different browsers. I can’t wait until Uncharted 3 to see how much better the series can get. I guarantee that it winning GOTY will net it a LOT of sales this holiday season.

WOW. vga’s G.O.T.Y was unexpected. Coming from them that was unexpected, real talk. I really thought mw2 was gunna take the cake dis year. But ‘NOW’ i just can’t wait to see a G.O.T.Y edition for uncharted 2 so 360 fanboys know whats up!!

@gamepro300: I think they just gave Jack Black best voice because he’s a famous actor, they had a few interviews about his game, and it didn’t qualify for GotY. They basically threw him a bone due to his star status.
Some of these awards definitely turned out differently than I thought they would.
Best Wii Game should’ve been “Punch-Out”.
GotY was dead-on accurate.
Studio of the Year I agreed with.
Best Independent Game Fueled by Dew I also agreed with.
Best X-Box 360 Game was okay.
Best PS3 Game was right.
Best PC Game I thought would go to “The Sims 3″.
Best Handheld Game I thought would’ve easily gone to “Scribblenauts”.
Best Shooter was tough but I’d say “Killzone 2″.
Best Fighting Game should’ve been “BlazBlue: Calamity Trigger”, imo.
Best Action / Adventure should’ve gone to “Uncharted 2″.*
Best RPG should’ve been “Demon’s Souls”.
Best Multiplayer Game could’ve either gone to MW2 or L4D2. MW2 won.
Best Individual Sports Game could’ve went to FNR4 or Wii Sports Resort.**
Best Team Sports I thought would go to Madden or FIFA.
Best Driving Game probably turned out alright.***
Best Music Game I thought it would’ve been “DJ Hero”.
Best Soundtrack was alright. If not for “DJ Hero” than “Brutal Legend” might’ve won.

Best Graphics award was well deserved. Feel bad KZ2 won nothing.
Best Game Based On Movie/TV should’ve gone to Wolverine, imo.
Best Performance By A Human Female is eh.
Best Performance by a Male = yes.
Best Cast was easily “Brutal Legend”.
Best Voice I voted for Arleen Sorkin as Harley Quinn.
Best Downloadable Game was right.
Best DLC was right.
Most Anticipated Game was right, though personally I’m more psyched for Bio2.
*NOTE I think AC2 won Best Action / Adventure Game because it is admittedly a good game but didn’t win anything else. I suppose they felt they needed to give it something.
**NOTE FNR4 after they patched the controls.
*** Would’ve been funny as hell if “Gran Turismo PSP” beat out Forza3, though. lol

I see what you’re saying about the controls to an extent, but you need to realise it is a different game; it’s not COD. I wouldn’t complain about Uncharted’s controls because I prefer Gears of War’s, it’s just different.

@Machee Really? Just another dull FPS? Not at all. Killzone 2 is awesome. The maps are top notch, the game modes are fun, the guns are pretty good. The only thing wrong with the game is the shooting system/controls. The movement and shooting is a bit clunky. Also, I would get rid of the bots. If the game had MW2′s shooting/control system, it would be the best FPS of all time IMO (ignoring the single player entirely, although it is good, MW2′s campaign is better).

Yes! and a little bit of framerate tweaking like about 45 fps will be just right. I mean i couldn’t really appreciate the graphic too much if the motion isn’t smooth as a baby bottom…cmon give me the Cell processing power!

Yeah I heard that the frame-rate was pretty ass, but they covered it up with motion blur I think, and I didn’t notice any FR problems so I’m not bothered.
