Another Thursday means another PlayStation Home Update, most of which will be located in the Mall this week. More Assassins Creed II threads will be available at the Mall, this time you can grab yourself some Renaissance costumes to show off your friends, you can actually look like a citizen that’s about to get assassinated from Assassins Creed II! Iron Fist will be selling some of their gear in virtual form too.
There are many Christmas items also hitting the mall tomorrow and most of them will be free! Be sure to remind yourself to check that out because you can never go wrong with free gear. Sony said to watch out for more cool Christmas related events coming in the very near future, we will keep you updated when more details arise.

I wish Sony would make our Home avatars part of the XMB in some way. At least these Home avatars don’t look like they’re about to float away in swirls of pixie dust (like other systems’ avatars that won’t be mentioned). lol

Using Home Avatars as XMB avatars would be lame. a generic looking persons face sitting beside your psn name… Sony better being working on somthing better then that.

Home is still a failure, i haven’t went there since it came out saw it for the first time it was hate at first site. here comes the thumbs down rain from fanboys

Agree with you m8, i like the way the avatars are now. Just wish that sony would give more room to write your profile like, where your from? Bio? Hobbies and Intrests? current games?
Also, glad they are mkin some of the christmas stuff free!!

@XPUNJABIX: I don’t see home as a failure. It’s still in beta if you didn’t know that or forgot. Thats like me saying 1 vs 100 is a failure. I don’t go in home that much unless there is something going on and there be alot of people in there.

It’s not a failure by any stretch of the imagination. It may be everybody’s cup of tea, but people still flock into Home. I go in there fairly regularly to see what’s happening and what new spaces bring, it’s pretty fun and there’s a lot of people in there who seem to enjoy it too. And it is still in open beta after all.

damon i just wanted to ask why you like home so much? i mean is it just eye candy when you look round the spaces? Dont the mini games just get boring after the first go? What is that special thing in home that makes you wanna go into?

Home’s ok to me, I guess I like going in, I don’t love it but I don’t hate it either. Honestly, there’s a TON of improvements that need to be done (starting with load times lol) and some of the things you mentioned would really improve the entire experience of it by far. I don’t have a love of Home or anything like that lol, but I don’t have any major problems with it either.
I like the core idea of Home, some of the games are pretty fun, and sometimes it’s nice just to run around and chat to people about gaming. That’s it really, I’m just fine with it, no major problems. The mini-games do get boring after the first couple of goes (except for the Buzz space), but to be fair so does any game like that (tetris, pacman, every iPhone game).
Like I said, I just like to go in from time to time to see what’s happening and what the new spaces are like.

@Pnuts: Home is hot. Ether you like it or not. I love the Sims so thats probably why I like home alot. If you don’t like Sims then you probably wont like home so much. As of right now its kinda boring though just because they disabled the open chat. But when it was enabled I was always in home recording random stuff and walkin around talking to everyone which was fun to me atleast i dunno about others.

@Pnuts: Yeah its like the Sims but not by a long shot at the same time. LOL Although they have a grill in home but for what? You can’t even do anything with them. Same goes for the LCD TV’s in home but can’t do anything with them. atleast when you turn the TV on in the Sims its advertisements and fake tv shows LOL
