What does everyone think? I really enjoy the beta, and the visuals and sounds are simply remarkable. How will it compare to MW2?

This beta is the reason I havn’t touched MW2 in probably a month.

I’m willing to bet that by the time Modern Warfare 3 comes around, it will probably have lost a bit of market share to Battlefield BC 2 and the new Medal of Honor. I’d bet MW3 will not sell as many copies as MW2 did.

@XPUNJABIX: That’s true, but they are different kinds of games so it should be expected. I’m not by any means saying MW3 will sell poorly. I’m just recognizing the competition is getting stronger. Call of Duty will not be the king forever; all kingdoms fall.

I really love the beta. I’m ranked in the top 1000 overall. Team based fps draw me in more and I think that’s the reason. BF 1942 is fuckin awesome in its own way. MW2 is in a class of its own also. MoH will be the game that i’m really lookin for something new in the world of fps. If that is a flop then MW3 will sell double the amount it did this year.

i don’t know what it is, but when ever i see the videos for this game the visuals always look way better for the xbox version. the beta visuals off the ps3 look nothing like the visuals im seeing in this video, which is Xbox360 apparently

Now Battlefield and Medal of Honor really wants to take MW. This makes me excite for MW3 because i believe and know that Infinity Wards will be stepping up their game again with either huge improvements or addons or an overhaul, either way Infinity Wards has never failed me

@Machee: Infinity Ward better not re-use the same game engine yet again for MW3. That’s all I can say. By then it’ll look really dated.

Just a lit question for those who have played the beta what’s the control scheme like and can you change it?

This game won’t compare to modern warfare 2 in terms of sales. No FPS controls as well as MW1 or 2. Thats why it sells so many units. MW is easy to pick up and play for all gamers, the guns just feel right. Look at killzone, great graphics, sound, gametypes, but shitty controls. The only FPS that can compete is Halo reach and thats because its Halo.
