The website scrawlfx has just found some leaked pictures of the new playstation 3 firmware update these picture where on the media section of the eu playstation website.
As you can see in the pictures the update contains Facebook integration, the ability to change your gamercard colors & being able to view your picture thumbnails in a grid format, Playstation have now took the pictures off their website. But what do you think of this update ? and oblivious that is not all the features in the update.

Update looks good. If its true I hope we get X-game chat with that… Matter fact just a whole new PSN experience for free would be great. A real sock to Live would be if psn was just as good and free. Why can they not get it done?

Looks good to me, the more additions to the ps3 the better. I just hope this isn’t all the updates offering, but I’m assuming this will be the main gist, which isn’t much. But hey i’ll take it.
Does anyone want to tell me why Sony’s FW team keeps adding features to picture viewing and stuff? I don’t think many people use there $300+ gaming/blu-ray system to view pictures off their hard drive that often. Why not spend more time on other features… but i hey i take what i can get.

hopefully the color changing also applies for peoples username cards on your friends list, not just your “gamer profile”… Anything but those hideous grey blocks, lol. They probably wouldn’t look as bad if they were spaced apart a little more.

it’s a cool couple features that they added,facebook is a good addition to the dashboard and the abilty to change the color gamecard is cool to.

if facebook is done right with all its features, then games like Uno, scrabble, chess, etc will be free to play with friends on the ps3. because thats what you get with facebook

The xgame chat seems likely if you look at PS3 demo kiosk there’s a “chatroom” icon with a mic & txt symbol

is it funny that the ps3 has an OS which lets you install something like Linux….we know that Linux is capable of running music and games same time, it run msn (or other chat systems) while playing a video file.
THE POINT IS: why can’t the ps3 itself do all these things, why does it take so long to implement it even? whats up with psn, because i’m tired of waiting for these features, when they finally come out, I’d have lost all possible interest!

I really don’t think this is coming anytime soon. If so i’m not that hyped about it. They grey blocks need to go, and the browser needs more done to it before they give us some shit like facebook. I don’t use that lame ass network so it being on my system would be a waste. What would really suck is if they put twitter on here also.

If they would add Facebook, it would be great. The PSN will be on par with Xbox LIVE by the time the PS4 comes about. On a side note, I saw the MW2 Xbox bundles and they are definitely attractive; I wouldn’t mind having one.

Why doesnt any system include myspace? It is clearly the superior social network… Sony needs to get myspace on the PS3 before facebook or twitter… I dont need to take quizzes on my PS3 that tell me I’m a Lesbian because I mostly selected the “B” choice…
