To be fair, you can’t just expect every game to have multiplayer and DLC. That just wouldn’t make sense.
And they’ve said they listened real hard to the repetitiveness issue, and addressed it. So really you may as well just try it out.

AC2 does not need a online mode like some games do. If AC2 had online I would want it to be good and not just there tacked on like other multiplayer games. This game does have trophies so I’m not sure where you heard otherwise. Matter of fact I remember voting for a trophy/achievement that I wanted in the game on the Ubisoft forums. AC2 doesn’t need to have DLC up front because it’s a finished game which I like. And I don’t want developers not finishing a game just to have some DLC come a month later that should have been in the full game. I bought the first one a couple months after release and I’m still playing it a year later after beating it twice already so AC2 is a must buy for me. One more thing this “repetition” thing for AC2 has got to stop because AC2 is much more varied in missions than AC1 was and it doesn’t require you to do any of the stuff you found boring the first just to continue in the story.
