this will be too easy and everyone will be bored in like a hour. The best stealth action game ever built MGS4 this doesn’t even come close to the sophistication of MGS4

MGS i think isnt a stealth game to me, on 1 hand yes b/c of snakes octo suit and no b/c u can run a gun the entire game expect level 3 in Europe for the 1st half. SCC is a great game it does bring back sam in a much more fast acting agent or ex agent, showing off his skills as a ex SEAL and a ex CIA operative. i cant wait to get it for the PC and hope TO GOD that it will come to the PS3 b/c Ubisoft is so fucking gay and stupid for not releasing it on the PS3. they lost so much money. o well thank god i have my alienware so i can get this game.
and where are his NVG’s ?????

What was so great about MGS4 was that you could play it how you wanted to, playing through sneakily and using stealth or gunning your way through. I played through the whole thing with no kills, alerts etc. So, if you just want to be an idiot you could do run and gun the whole thing.
You can also run and gun SC too, it’s just all down to how you want to play it.

then whats the point of all the guns in the game? how many guns are there over 60? plus i have the stealth camo which i bought just for the hell of it.
that part where u can run though the game w/o killing no1 is stupid, yes u get the big boss face camo if u beat it within the 5 hrs. but who really has the time to beat that game in 5 hrs, no kills, no ALERTS which is going to be hard on big boss mode, and whatever else im missing.
MGS is a great game but i dont have that kind of time, i would rather use cheat codes to get the face camo than doing that, then i can go around killing all the ppl i want.
Splinter cell is a stealth game b/c of what Sam uses in the game, his SC-20K, his pistol both with suppressors, and all the other item like sleeping gas, etc. things that are used to take some1 out silently, sure he has grenades but i barley use them same thing with the wall mines. and with SCCT and the shotgun and sniper attachment, never used them as much, always used the fore grip one.

damn i want this game. I’ve been playing Splinter Cell seen it’s been released, but i don’t own a 360 and don’t have any plans of owning one so i guess i just have to miss out unless they release it on PS3

Well I own both systems and have beaten the whole MGS and SC series on console. With that said I feel MGS is a great game for its over the top characters, its unique form of story telling, and its unique gameplay like the pyscho mantis fight in MGS 1. However, I appreciate SC take on realism in the sense that Sam Fisher is a bad ass but not a god like Snake. Also SC stealth mechanics have always been more like a true simulation of stealth especially with its dynamic light engine.
I’m looking forward to this splinter cell. It is evolving the stealth genra by giving the player the ability to take out multiple targets with stealth in quick successions like we see in movies but could never do before in games. Also developers won’t let you target an infinite number of thugs so the game won’t be a cake walk.
So as far as gameplay goes I give the edge to SC especially with its multiplayer proven multiplayer which is fun and unique. Story on the other hand goes to MGS.

The Most annoying thing about Metal gear is that Alert system …I mean PS2 ‘s was good but Kojima still continuing that just pisses me of … Dont get me wrong I was I of the people who said MGS4 = Best Game ever ……
As for splinter cell I agree its more realistic …. more like a stealth simulation …

I totally agree with Sly on this one. Story goes to MGS and gameplay goes to Splinter Cell. I think they made a big mistake putting this game on one console.
Splinter Cell doesn’t have the fanfare that MGS has. It would have been smarter for the game to be on more systems so they could sell more copies.
