This ought to help reach the “non-gaming” audience. Anytime a partnership like this is made, it’s a good for the consumer as well as the companies involved.

Blockbuster went bankrupt earlier this year, i don’t think they’re comin back anytime soon.

In regards to Netflix…wtf is the point? Got hella movies and tv shows on the store already. Movies and shows I’d actually WANT to SEE.

That’s pretty cool you can access netflix straight from your tv. I already got it on my xbox but I wouldn’t mind having it on my ps3 either.

I love Netflix and I’m so tempted to buy the PlayOn beta so I can get it on my PS3, but sooner or later. Sony will offer some type of subscription based service that allows you to watch certain amounts of their videos.

Still integrating Netflix natively on the PS3 would pretty much cement it as the best media playing console.

Blockbuster did NOT file for bankruptcy.

It trimmed a few stores, but is still operating fine. And offers a very competitive mail-delivery rental program plus ability to trade them in at stores.

And, they offer blu-ray rentals at no additional cost — something I use heavily now.

They have a few download relationships, but I haven’t tried any of them.
