If they use natal in ODST. I think they would probably use it for customizing your character, weapons, vehicles.

If Sony charged for the backwards compatibility emulator most people would be annoyed and the media would criticise then yet again. Microsoft do it with the Xbox 360, but Microsoft are notorious for screwing their consumers over with add-ons (eg. LIVE, hard drive, wi-fi adapter), so it’s something we’ve come to expect. Sony shouldn’t follow suit.

We know the release dates of the products, but think about it Diizziie… How many games launch with out features and then release an update later down the line to add add features.

@ DLB , Halo reach is dated for FALL 2010 , Natal is dated for Late 2010 , so it would be more likley that reach used it , as by the time reach is out a small number of people will be playing ODST .So there would be no use adding it in a late stage like that as ODST would have been out a year by them

I take it that we aren’t only doing Comments & Questions through Mike’s Twitter anymore? Because I don’t want to get up at 5am to get my questions answered. So I put a question up in the forums under the Podcast section.
Great podcast by the way! I laughed so hard at the first 15 minutes!!

I would have to agree with MikeDemo i don’t own a 360 either and don’t have any plans on buying one. I do gaming on my laptop as well. I was real heavy on PC gaming in tell PS3 came out. but i still play Halo, The Sims, NFS, etc all on my laptop

it looks like they copied the Mac task bar on the bottom with windows 7
cant wait to get it.
btw i think DLB is turning into a 360 lover than a ps3 lover
thats what i think

Hey man u mispronounced my name. It’s said like blue matt lol. the “blu” part is referring to bluray and the “matt” part would be my first name. It’s cool tho, just so y’all know. I’ve heard other people say it that way on Playstation Network and I’m like, No, it’s said like blue matt. lol

i think the outakes/bloopers is a great addition! i would love if you put it in every week.
i also have an idea for the podcast, what if instead of putting music during the breaks, you put a short message like you could have mikedemo telling people to send in comments and question, silverk9 talking about his walk n talks’ or the swag bros, and you can tell people about your youtube/twitter channel i think this would be informative. and you can play these during the time you take your breaks.

@Undercovermc:
Youre completely wrong! LIVE isn’t an add on, its a service that every game player wish they had. PSN is trash compared to it & you know it, or you don’t if you haven’t experienced LIVE yet.
Hard drive is an option, & standard with a $299 PRO or $399 Elite. What is forced is a B-ray player that no one asked for & does nothing for games but storage, that’s it. So there is an enormous charge for a service that isn’t needed.
WiFi is a good one, I paid an extra $100 for the wifi adaptor for my sons 360. I changed it & ran a hard connection because there is no substitution for a hard connection. My friends with a PS3 did the same for their PS3 & 360′s, the routers are to far away in our homes to be effective using wifi, same goes for my PC.
M$ doesn’t charge for emulation at all. At first SONY fanboys were criticizing M$ for not having backwards compatibility, then M$ said they’ll have bc with 20 games, SONY fanboys criticized more. Now M$ has more than 400 bc games, all free of charge! So, where the hell do you see M$ charging for emulation? SONY is the BIG FAT LIAR in this instance because they took the option away from the game player by discontinuing the bc feature with the new PS3′s, now they may charge for it? This will be the first charge in console history if this is true as far as I know it.
@DLB,
you said you 100% Agree with this guy & he is dead wrong!

Look slick read, and learn something!
Stunning High Definition Picture
Blu-ray Disc technology derives its name from the short-wavelength blue laser employed by Blu-ray Disc players. Compared with the red laser used by CD and DVD players, this new blue laser produces a much narrower beam capable of reading significantly smaller pieces of data. This allows Blu-ray Disc media to pack a lot more data into the same amount of space compared to DVDs. In fact, Blu-ray Disc media features five times the storage capacity of traditional, single-layer DVDs1.
This massive storage capacity, combined with a wide bandwidth capable of sending data at speeds of up to 54 Mbps (megabytes per second), which is six times that of DVD (8 Mbps) and roughly two times that of a normal HDTV broadcast (approximately 25-27 Mbps), allows Blu-ray Disc media to store and display video in stunning, full HD 1080p resolution.
Superior High Definition Audio
Blu-ray Disc technology also brings your movies, music, and games to life with up to 7.1 channels of HD surround sound. What constitutes HD audio, exactly? HD video can be measured in pixel resolution. For example, a full HD 1080p image measures 1920 x 1080 pixels and contains six times the picture information of DVD video (640 x 480 pixels). HD audio is not measured by resolution, but rather by bitrate. Without getting too technical, the bitrate refers to how many bits of information can be transmitted in a single second. One easy way to picture this is to consider your Internet connection. Old dial-up modems connected to the Internet at a bitrate of up to 56.6 Kbps (kilobits per sec.)
Your opinions are just that! State facts when you are on the attack! “So there is an enormous charge for a service that isn’t needed.” (??? PSN is free???) “WiFi is a good one, I paid an extra $100 for the wifi adaptor for my sons 360. I changed it & ran a hard connection because there is no substitution for a hard connection.” (You have no clue what bit transfer rate your Xbox has when wired vs. wireless. So this was just another of your preferences vs. reality!!!!) In my experiences I have not had a lack of bandwidth or problem with packets being lost when I am wireless! So my gaming experience would differ from yours.

Thank you DaTriggaMan. Well said bro.
Just answer one question Zinc…does the Xbox 360 offer backwards compatibility if you don’t have a HARD DRIVE? Can I play my old games on a Arcade unit? No..you can’t! That means your cheapest system with backwards compatibility is still $299. Oh…you want a wireless router? Add $100. That’s $399. But wait…surely you want to play on your beloved Xbox Live…fork over your $50! Okay…let’s do the math.
$449 Xbox 360 (without HD drive) is more expensive than a $399 PS3 (with Blu-Ray.)
Stop being a fanboy and try to use common sense.
As for the podcast, it was another good show. I loved the topics but of course DLB went wrong with an argument again. Luckily he was corrected this time. That’s weak argument about Americans. I’ve already pointed out that Americans are sheep when it comes to buying products. There are a few educated consumers over here but for the most part, more people overseas are willing to pay for quality as opposed to settling for a cheap fix.
You wonder why some Asian countries have Internet speeds over 60 Mbps plus wide Wi-Fi coverage and why we’re stuck in 17th place? ( http://www.mediapost.com/publications/?fa=Articles.showArticle&art_aid=103057 )
It is because Americans let companies like Apple with their weak iPhone upgrades, Microsoft with their defective Xbox 360, and companies like Time Warner tell us what channels we’re allowed to watch.
I with Mike and bryant. Unless Xbox Live is free, I don’t need an Xbox 360.

@DaTriggerMan,
You didn’t say s***!
Reality is: I don’t care about the technical differences between wifi & a hard connection, however, I do know from experience & others experiences, a hard connection has better Results!
You wrote that Masters Thesis & said exactly what I said b-ray was “more storage”. Ok it may have better sound also, but to me with an: Onkyo, Polk Audio tower fronts, Cerwin Vega rears, DCM 15/15 SUBS, & Polk center, my s*** sounds like you’re in Halo with sticky bombs buzzing your ears!
See, that’s SONY’s first problem, thinking everyone has what I (we) have; an HD TV, great sound systems, etc & they don’t, that’s only about 15 to 20% of the audience, most people don’t have all that equipment. $600 is an insult to most people, not you or I, but most people.
B-ray in the PS3 drove its price through the roof & SONY will suffer the rest of this generation for it, the PS3 will not gain ground on the 360 until M$ releases the 720 or XBOX NEXT or whatever it will be.

Who gives a fuck about all these specs. I like to play games period that’s why I got both systems. Everybody knows ps3 needs price drop and I think it’s bullshit MS charges for xbl. Get over it and just play whatever system you prefer.

@Rocc-Monsta,
See, you get what you pay for & there is a clear difference between LIVE & PSN; you get what you pay for!
& I agree, I don’t give a **** about specs, however, I do give a **** about results! I don’t like when people or organizations spout promises all day to a game player like myself that’s been playing games since 1976.
This a fantastic hobby outside of real like that I take particular interest in & I play everything!

I play all my games on PS3 and only Xbox exclusives on my 360. So that means I have most of my games on PS3.
Both systems have ups and downs
I just like services that work, and when it comes to online XBox Live WORKS and is a better service then PSN and thats my option if you disagree then thats your option… Bottom Line!!!

lol, It’s funny that u bought that up about the comments. I was talking to BlindMango about that a few days ago. Also, agree with u and Undercovermc about the backwards compatibility emulator.
@ Rocc-Monsta
I agree with u. To tell u the true I can’t really a big different between PSN and XBL. I guess because the only thing I’m truly interested in is playing the games online. I prefer PS3 over Xbox because for me PSN is free and Sony has the game line ups I want.
@ DLB
I just though of something. Do u think the Sony should use Skype on the PSN. I mean it’s on the PSP, so y not?

@TheL1G4tor,
Yes, the core 360 does have backwards compatibility, Halo & Halo 2. The new PS3′s at $399+ have no backwards compatibility. $299 is the standard, if you want a core system, you don’t want to play old XBOX games. As I said before, wifi isn’t better than a hard connection & I know no one using wifi.
There your question is answered. & I’m not a fanboy, I just tell it like it is.
You answer this question, is LIVE better than PSN?

I don’t see how xbl is better then psn. Xbl has cross game chat what else do you get for paying $50 a year. PSN was late with alot of it’s features but at least it’s free who doesn’t like free these days

@otherzinc…
Either you’re mindly retarded or an uneducated consumer. Being a fanboy on top of that is not entirely the wisest decision.
1) Two games do not make a system BACKWARDS compatible. The Core unit requires and INSTALL on the HARD DRIVE in order to play other games. EVEN then, it is still LIMITED to a SMALL number of titles.
2) No. I think you and DLB are drinking the Koolaid. Oh…I can play with my friends on Xbox Live and party up. Seriously…maybe that’s worth $50 to you, but I’ll pass just like I have for the last year or 2. See, I’m not speaking verbal diarrhea. I practice what I preach. I had Xbox Live with all the friends, parties, and cross video game chat. It’s not that big a deal to me. There’s Skype, my cell phone, and numerous other means of communication that I use to keep in touch.
When we have our Game Nights for our website, we don’t have a problem getting all of our players organized and into rooms most of the time. I think some people just like to pay for convenience. That’s fine. I’m not willing to pay for something that is FREE or cheaper elsewhere.
Listen to the podcast again. That’s is exactly why Mike doesn’t own a 360 and that’s why I won’t go pick up any time soon.
All this talk about your system and the electronic equipment you have…that’s all good but it doesn’t mean nothing if you don’t have common sense.
@own-all_lol
Seriously man!? 3 post in one thread? Only one had any real purpose.

Thx, for the info about why some Asian countries have Internet speeds over 60 Mbps plus wide Wi-Fi coverage and why we’re stuck in 17th place? I didn’t know that. It was an interesting article. Also, I agree with u about how some people…. well uses PSN vs XBL, at least that’s what I think ur saying, I didn’t really have any problems joining up with friends. PSN could be better, but it’s good enough 4 me. It’s not like it’s not playable online. I know some people that make it sound like u can’t play games online with PSN by sayind empty things like it trash or something.

@TheL1G4tor,
& you must be Full Pussy & comprehensively fanboy blind.
1) I acknowledged that, Jackass. If you think 400+ backward compatible games “is still Limited to a Small number of titles, your SONY Glasses are dipped in wax. Your to stupid to play the 360 to figure that out. If you do play the 360, you’re more idiot than I knew you were.
Still, the PS3 has no backwards compatibility after talking all that shit about what it was going to do or have. At least for $299 you have bc (400+ titles), vs $399 & no bc will that enormous PS Library.
Maybe your uneducated ass should research the 360 before you put your small foot in your big ass mouth.
