guerilla

Those are the words directly from an interview Guerilla Games had with Dutch website Gamekings. Although the video is in Dutch, the interview has been translated and Guerilla makes it clear that although Killzone 2 is one of the best looking games to date, they believe that they can use more of the PS3′s power in the future.

Even so Killzone 2 is still a landmark ps3 achievement considering the physics and lighting done IMO

They better advertise the hell out of this game or their 40-50mil budget and all the time they’ve put into this game will be a waste, and it better be a GREAT and i mean a GREAT advertisement. I really want Sony and Guerrilla to be successful in this game, so we can get the sequels to the game, and I want the larger audience to play this one hell of an amazing game.

thats amazing, i mean Killzone 2 already looks unbelievable. I’ve had people who own a xbox 360 admitt that they are starting to see the PS3′s true potential. And it’s even get’s better when Guerilla say’s they can use even MORE of the ps3 power on future prodject’s. I onestly thought it couldn’t get any better than what killzone 2 is going to deliever on Feb, 27 but i was wrong. ps3 in my opinion, is truely the next generation console, and anyone who doubts it, can go pound sand.

Of course they can. KZ3, GoW4 and MGS5 (?) will all blow our minds. Remember how long it took for developers to get the full power out of the PS2. The best looking games were arguably MGS3 and GoW2 and they came out towards the end of the PS2′s peak. We haven’t seen the best that the PS3 has to offer and we won’t for a long time.

Its about time developer realizes the power the PS3 has, now I wish lazy developers get off there ass and try. Stop taking the easy way out by just making games for the xbox or making half ass games for the PS3. But Im glad Guerrila sees that cause I like there games.

when they get round to doing that i’m sure it will be mind blowing!

however i think they need to focus on getting good sales for KZ2 first. Guerilla and Sony need to advertise the shit out of this otherwise only people who scrounge the internet for information will know what it is.

i mean, some people i know (who have PS3s) have never heard of it. That could be bad news for Sony if they were hoping Killzone would move systems.

    lol @ DamonTheMoney

…yeah, Guerilla saying that is a pretty fair statement for any company to make when developing games…almost any company their second time around using the same engine can make improvements.

Even when a game looks as remarkable as KZ2, after 3-4 years of development I guarantee there were things they came across that they would tweak for the next go-round, but it was too late to turn back at the point they were at.
