Within the month of October, we have had an amazing amount of great titles being released. Some of those hot new titles include…( * represents games i would have purchased)

Brothers in Arms: Hell’s Highway,

Dead Space, *
Saints Row 2,
SOCOM:
U.S.
Navy SEALs Confrontation + BAETA, *
Fable II,
Far Cry 2, *
Eternal Sonata,

Wii Music,
Midnight Club: Los Angeles,

Fallout 3, *
Little Big Planet + BETA, *
Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3, *
MotorStorm: Pacific Rift  *

Also, lets not forget about the big titles releasing at the beginning of November,

Gears of War 2, *
Resistance 2 + BETA, *

James Bond: Quantum of Solace

This is good to the industry because not only are there alot of titles available to choose from but there all quality games. Therefore, some might say that this is a great time for gaming.

BUT, in my opinion (and many others agree with me) with all these games coming out  in such a short period, we do not have the time or the money to get the full experience out of these games.

Lets take SOCOM for example, i baught this game thinking i would be into it just like i was into SOCOM II back on PS2. But instead, i am to distracted with all the other hot titles available. Therefore, i am not able to get into playing the game, let alone get good at it.
A big part of SOCOM or even any online multiplayer is the community and playing with people you know.. SOCOM at this point in time is the last thing i expect to see under anyone of my friends names..
If SOCOM came out when there was nothing else to choose from, it would be the game to play.. Because of the situation, it is being overlooked due to Major titles such as the Resistance 2 BETA and Little big Planet.

Give people time to play and enjoy the games instead of overload us. It is great that big games are finally hitting stores but where are we getting the money to play them with the economy as it is now.

I hope by now you guys understand what im getting at. Whats great about gaming at this spacific moment in time is whats hurting it aswell.

If yall feel what im trying to say leave a comment.

i have to agree i bought socom there the other day and wont recieve it until next week november 6th, this gives me what 22 days of socom until Resitance2 is realeased in europe. and i no for a fact i wont toch any of my new games [fifa 09 or socom] wen r2 is released.

so i totally agree games like socom should have been released after or before the big titles of the year. [resistance2 & little big planet]

you have to remember guys, this is exactly the reason why killzone 2 got delayed, they want it to stand out and be the game it deserves

Yeah I heard K2 is done, just got delayed because of the plethora of games out. But I got Fifa 09, NBA 2k9, and only played them for a little while because I rented Fable 2. I also got little big planet and havent played it because I want to beat Fable 2. I keep getting sidetracked and it’s taking me a while. Resistance is coming next week and i’m in deep shit. My girl is pissed…..lol

    Completeley true.

If you think that’s bad though, in just a TWO week period here in the UK Fable 2, Gears of War 2, Killzone 2, Farcry 2 and LBP are being released.

    Two weeks? That’s crazy!

i agree that there is an overload BUT like you said theres so many that there is a large variety of games. Bc for me (personally) there were times when i got sick of COD4 and hoped on Warhawk and played with my friends on that game, or MGS4, etc. my point is that YES there are alot of games coming out and yes there is a sense of overload but TRUST me your going to get bored with one of them and your gonna wanna pop in another HOTT game!! lol. so far on the “Hot List” i have Dead Space, and Confrantation + Beta (the beta was fun). im going to buy LBP this weekend (that beta was fun also) and after that im going to buy R2, and MotorStorm Pacific Rift. It all depends on what you feel like playing at the moment. I get bored easily SOMETIMES not most of the times thats why im getting the majority of the games that i think are good imo

I agree with it, but it’s the holidays people will be buying for the season. If they only had 5 of these games more people would pissed due this X-mas (or what ever you do) would say this sucks only 5 games. What the hell come game devs. get to work and crank out the games. I know it sucks that there is soooooooo many games out this month and next. I wish I had the funds too. But it’s better then the first 3 months of PS3 which I played every game there was and was wanting more. Now I have plenty, and with most of them being online games they need time to fix server issues anyway on the games I have or will have. It’s a win, win. I don’t have to buy the games right away, and the servers will get fixed by the time I get the game. See win, win.
