Killzone 2 is quickly approaching and Senior game designer at Guerrilla games, Eric Boltjes discusses some of the teams main focus,
“When we started out we set ourselves four goals. The first one being that everyone can enjoy Killzone online. We wanted to let the player play just how he likes it.
In addition to that, we wanted to inspire team play and create community that goes beyond the game.
Also, a player should be able to just go online and join any game regardless of whether he is an experienced FPS player or a newbie to the genre. We want to introduce new features gradually. The player should be slowly learning the game.
Lastly, we want to provide really advanced features for the hardcore part of our audience, so there’s enough gameplay depth to keep them interested.”
