Is the Xbox360 Dead? Or does it have more in the tank?
We are six months in to the year 2008 and we haven’t seen any big titles this year for the Xbox 360.
This year the Xbox360 only has 3 big titles and that’s Ninja Gaiden 2 that’s out right now, Fable II, & Gears of War 2 which will be coming this fall 2008. Those are the three top games for the Xbox360 for the year of 2008 and to be truthful that is a very unimpressive line-up compared to there rival Playstation 3 which has seen the likes of Gran Turismo 5 Prologue, and what many are calling the Game of the Year; Metal Gear Solid 4, those two titles alone are huge Playstation Brand titles that we have already seen within the first 6 months of 2008 and with more big titles to come this fall it only gets better.
So what does this mean for the Xbox360? Do they have big titles coming? We will see at this years E3 2008 July 15-17.

Of course the Xbox has got more in the tank… I expect some surprises to roll out this holiday season.
Maybe you should start considering what you’re going to be doing with your PS3 after you finish MGS4. Wait for the next big game in 2009?

I don’t think the 360 has anything left in the tank. MS will probably announce a blu-ray add-on or new SKU at E3.

None of the 360 community web sites take cheap shots at the PS3, atleast the ones i frequent(GTR, 360Fanboy, MajorNelson, ETC.) So why do you DLB??
Man you sure do bash the 360 alot. What are your credentials? And you forgot Halo wars, Alan wake, Too Human, Banjoo, Viva pinata, Left 4 Dead, and Warhammer.
Granted i havn’t played any of the above games i listed, so i can’t declare them “BIG TITLES”. You should check out Devry for some journalism classes!

I think Microsoft has more in the tank but not enough to out take the ps3 cause sony also has more in tank like their secret game and whatnot. so since both have more in their tanks I think sony will take it because they got the 08 line up too

as evidence above ^ no matter how many people acknowledge that th 360 has got basically nothing on the ps3 for the most part of this and next year there will still be people defending it to the death. if bill gates himself came out of the closet and sed “ok,ok ya got me 360 could never be as good as ps3 so ima make a new xbox” THERE WOULD STILL BE PEOPLE THAT WILL DEFEND THE SHIT BOX 360 AND SAY “oh he doesnt know what hes talking about , hes wrong”. its all bullshit and until you just get a ps3 for the same amount of money that you spent on youe failbox than ya will always be fighting.

@kevin-finnerty. You yourself have done the exactly what you have accused me of, defending your console. I was simply telling DLB that he shouldn’t generalize statements like “sony has the best lineup” well how do you know they have the best lineup? You havn’t played any of the games coming out for 2008. Also somewhat ironically i purchased my PS3 cheaper than my 360 (Gamefunk.com $314.99) . My PS3 has everything i wanted except an online system like Xbox live.

DLB is entitled his opinion and you say no 360 sites bash the ps3 sony has been getting attacked since ps3 was announced and when he says 360 has no line up he means AAA titles all they have is Gears Of War 2 and fable if you consider that i have a 360 and it is dieing

Oh good grief, it is NOT dying. The PS3 is finally getting some AAA titles, a year and a half after release, and you guys are talking about how it’s going to wipe the Xbox off the map? Gimme a break – it’s finally coming up on the radar, if anything.

microsoft will probably start making add-ons for 360 (which is already starting) to try to keep up with ps3. i am not bashing 360, but i am also not a fan. i have stuck with playstation since the beginning. 360 is ok, but i personally think the original xbox was better. i dont go by hype so when people says somthing will be good, i just say lets wait and see.
@ Marty you say home will be a waste, but what i am looking forward to is your on space, which will come in handy for clans to get together. like i said, lets wait and see.

It could come in handy for clans, I can agree with that… but I just can’t see people taking the time to get their virtual selves all collected inside a “space” in Home when they should all just be able to voice chat by then – why even bother with the virtual space to begin with?

i believe that xbox is on the verge of dieing. but i think that they still have something up their sleeve because they are remaining too quiet. so by the end of ’09, xbox will officially be dead and ps3 will take over

Yeah its dead. not many xbox 306s are being sold not many games any more. MWHAHAHA
